Nela nails Salon — Attraction in Palm Springs

Today was the first time we visited this nail salon. My daughter got a full set and showed the nail tech the exact photo of what she asked for. My daughter informed me when we left the nail salon that the nail tech was on her phone the majority of the time. Upon further inspection of her nails, we saw that the acrylic was very lumpy, the nails were slanted and that the shape was not what she requested. I texted the owner pictures of what my daughter requested and what she received and gave an explanation of the experience. He called me and asked what had occurred and I explained. He informed me he would call his employee and ask her. He returned my call a few minutes later and acted aggressively and defensively towards me, stating that his employee asked me how I liked them and I stated that I did and he pulled the camera and saw it himself. I informed him that that information was not true and later on sent him a text letting him know that what I was asked was if I was going to pay cash or credit. When I heard the owner (a male) start speaking aggressively to me, I understood that this phone call was going to get no where and told him that I was not going to be doing business with this establishment any longer. It is very sad when you try a new business out and pay 58 dollars and raise a concern to management that in turn they turn it around and place the blame on you.

To the establishment who responded. I do not wish to have or see any more work your mail salon offers. I saw pictures and that is why we came. We thought this salon would do a great job. But, I was wrong. I attempted to correct this issue as soon as it happened with the owner of the company. Due to his hostile and aggressive behavior towards me, I have no desire to ever set foot in your salon again. I went the next day to another nail salon and paid to have your salon’s work removed and my daughter received a new set that looked like the picture she provided. I paid 38, which is 20 less than what I was charged...

I am truly disappointed with this place. I was recommended this place by a friend of mine that said they had affordable prices depending on what you get. Genesis the lady that did my nails was very aggressive and kept burning me with the drill (didn’t apologize once and repeatedly kept doing it) and didn’t ask what I wanted with the nails or anything she just did whatever which I’m guessing because she only spoke Spanish. The nails i showed her and the nails I left with were two completely different things. She also over priced my nails and I was the only person she overcharged in that salon which is funny because I was the only person that was speaking English. Every other client was charge 60-70. Idk if she overcharged me thinking I didn’t understand Spanish which is honestly sad because I understand more then I speak and I shouldn’t have to speak Spanish just to not be overcharged it’s sad. The girl that had just went before me paid only 70 for LONG French nails with a design and to clarify I got SHORT French tips and was charged 85. And my friend that goes there got long nails French, Ombre, and a design and paid 70 as well, she also said never had she once paid 85 at the salon especially for short nails she also will never be coming back again. please do yourself a favor and book an appointment...

I never write reviews, but this place forsure should have one from me. I'm terrible picky when it's about my nails, and I was so dissapointed when I moved to the area and every each salon was bad. Nails were weirdly curvy or gel was peeling off next day, or rude technicians who don't want to put any effort in their job. When I came across this salon at first I was suprised how clean and nice it is, everything is branded and even tools are brand new and sorted through. Any design you can imagine - they can do it. Exactly the same what you've showed on a picture or explained. I've been there twice and my nails look amazing!!! I had so many compliments, every nail is perfectly shaped, straight, not curvy , without any weird bumps. Design is gorgeous. Not even one nail got broken and I had the first set for a month! My technician ( I got same girl twice) was really nice, compared every nail and made sure they are all looking perfect. I can't believe I found a perfect spot and from now on and I won't go anywhere else. Also if compare prices with other salons they are pretty cheap for the quality and service they deliver! I highly recomment this place, even though I don't speak any Spanish I still find ways to talk to them, make appointments and explain what I want. Highly...
