I was vacationing just across the road from Paradise Found & was excited to simply cross the walkway to buy souvenirs... But as my girlfriend and I began to shop, firstly collecting as we went in the store the small nick knacks, i.e... Personalized necklaces, name tags & such, this Jamacan worker caught my eye BC she was starring so hard at my friend. She evidently did not know, but I could not help feeling uneasy due to her beginning to tail my friend BC she had chosen some smaller items as had I. But it was the way she was walking right on my friends heels & eyeing those items in her hand that got me! She quickly began a conversation with my friend, constantly looking at her hands- at those small items. We tried to move on but the employee insisted she take her items from her to leave them at the counter, so my friend gave me the same look I had - realizing she's only concerned with theft! So we both offered our items up, gave the insistent employee her wish & we spoke quietly about the rudeness & began shopping again. Well, as soon as we would pick up ANYTHING SHE WAS HOT ON OUR TAIL! Only if it was small items though, as it seemed... Quiet honestly, we felt very much like criminals & neither of us has had so much as a dang speeding ticket!!!!
So after this got ridiculous... I told ask the employee standing over me, if she had a problem with us trying to shop & she said oh no she was only being helpful, but many customers had ask her the same thing! Well, I said, I am not accustomed to being followed & watched, nor treated this way and if she didn't mind leaving us alone now- that I personally would like to look at these hoodies!!! My purse was no bigger than my hand, I have never stolen a single thing but told I her we would be more than happy to go elsewhere to buy our souvenirs & clothing, of which I wanted plenty! By then I was so irritated that we left, I only purchased 1 item out of about 15 I had wanted. And as I go to check out, in this deserted store, the guy at the cash register couldn't hardly put his phone down long enough for me to even pay out!!!
Sooooo, they do have a lot of cute, neat things, but the service was horrible. So I come home to try to buy some of those same items online & OMG, YOU CAN NOT EVEN FIND A WAY TO BUY ONLINE!
So, how they even keep their doors open is beyond me. But my family will not go to this store again!!!
GOOD LUCK TO THE OWNER, YOU SERIOUSLY NEED SOME GOOD WORKERS BC YOU HAVE A GREAT LOCATION FULL OF NEAT THINGS BUT YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE TERRIBLE! And BTW, THIS IS LIKE THE SECOND REVIEW I have ever taken time to post & the other one was 5 STARS, unfortunately they do not offer a 0 STAR... BC that's my TRUE RATING! I spent about $400.00 at another store, of which I could shop with...
Read moreI wish I could leave zero stars, but one is the lowest option. We went in looking for small gifts for family and friends who are helping out at home. The store was extremely overcrowdedâso packed that you could barely walk down the aisle. If someone else was in the aisle, you had no choice but to go in the same direction.
After less than five minutes of trying to navigate around other shoppers, someone accidentally bumped into me. As a result, I bumped into an overloaded shelf, and several items fell to the floor. Despite the tight, unsafe layout of the store, we were charged full price for every broken item.
Itâs incredibly disappointing to be charged so much and walk away with nothing. It feels very shady that this is how the store chooses to handle such situations.
There was no apology, no understanding, and no accountability from the staff. Instead of offering assistance or recognizing how unsafe and cramped the setup is, they acted like it was our fault from the moment it happened. The entire experience felt like a setup to make money off accidents caused by poor organization and overstocking.
I would strongly caution others before shopping here. Accidents happen, especially in stores that donât provide adequate space for customers to move safely. But being held financially responsible for their careless layout is unacceptable. We left frustrated, disappointed, and without the gifts we came for.
Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Banana Barts and Footprints offered us much better gifts...
Read moreDisgusting and awful product, shops like this take hermit crabs from the beach and breed them in inhumane environments there isnât a single place for them to have any water and itâs far too populated, the women who were working there follow everyone around the store and give you dirty looks while talking about you in a Jamaican accent they think no one understands yet is very easy to understand. The one built like a pear with a mustache was extremely rude and the mountainous behemoth was extremely rude to my girlfriends little brother who happened to press a toy bell one time and was told âonly adults can ring the bellâ. They also advertise henna tattoos and braids and i literally heard them tell a girl and her mom that they didnât want to do it todayđthey also have a skeletal clerk who seems to be the only one doing anything, the shirts are awful the location is awful it smells awful and looks awful.only positive thing was the...
