PRISM Physical Therapy — Attraction in Glen Burnie

I've been meaning to leave a review for this establishment to warn others of my experience. I have genuine issues with my low back and right knee. I came here seeking help paying out of pocket. I was initially seen by a PT who evaluated me and said that she didn't know what was wrong with me. She scheduled a x-ray for me. I got the x-ray and got a phone call from the administrative assistant stating that I'm schedule for "blank" number of visits. I asked what was the diagnosis she didn't know. I schedule another appointment. When I came in my for my second appointment I was met with a Physical Therapist Tech (Lily). She said I was out of alignment on my x-ray and that was the issue.. I could tell she was making up my diagnosis as I asked her what was out of alignment? and she was coming up with several different answers. There is no personalized care. She then proceeded to tell to get on the bike for 5 mins. Afterwards she went through a series of exercises that is standard for everyone that goes there for lower back pain. She was chatting the whole time with the administrative assistant as I was doing the exercises; very obnoxiously. At the end of the very simple non personalized exercises I was put on the e-stim for about 20 mins. Just ridiculous. I then asked her again what the plan of care was. She just told me I was out of alignment. It was clear she was getting agitated by the question. She said I was scheduled for "blank" number of visit, probably insinuating that we're not going to attempt to help you until you get towards the end of your visits.

TLDR; I came to this physical therapist office to be told I'm out alignment. Then given a cookie cutter set of exercises to do by the Physical Therapist Assistant while she was working with other patients. Very impersonalized care. There was no plan of care. They told me I had "blank" number of visit. If you're here for insurance fraud or workers comp this is your place, but if you're here for actual issues...

I was supposed to have this review completed 8 visits ago, however “life” got in the way. Nonetheless, as I await my last appointment (due to insurance mishaps) I thought I’d share the passion & quality that is affiliated with Prism!

On your first visit…you will be welcomed as if you’re family! Literally, by name from the front desk (Shannon), to the doctor (Dr. Dinshah), and last but not least, the PT technician (Alex).

Even the patients at Prism are extremely friendly! I’m sharing this because I’ve witnessed all walks of life entering Prism. With the events of world sometimes it makes one lose hope of leaving their house/community…NOT APPLICABLE HERE!!!

Your care/treatment is tailor to your need, as it should; however each of them are very attentive to your needs. You will not feel as if you’re there to throw away money. Additionally options are always available! Plan to be fully involved for about 60-90 minutes as your treatment plan consists of a series of care & you even get a little massage at the end! I call that…PERKS!!!

The location has plenty of parking, inside is always clean & the environment is a WHOLE VIBE!! Music, tv & just plain good energy!

When I first came to Prism physical therapy I couldn't sleep at night only got about 3 hours at the most now 2 months later I am able to sleep at least 6 hours because of my treatments. The Dr's & staff are always friendly, concern, personal and caring. Starts soon as you walk in the door, Shannon greets you with the most friendly smile, always make sure you are comfortable, very patient with you in making sure you get the appointments to fit your schedule. Than Alex greets you in the gym with the same attitude, very knowledgeable in making sure you are doing your exercises correctly with out being uncomfortable. He keeps all equipment clean after each person and always pleasant. He takes interest in each person. Then there is Dr. D. Comes out with happy, bubbly attitude and work's on you (hands on) gets right to the spots where is hurting and explains everything she is doing while working on you, very knowledgeable. When you walk out of there you feel so good. Never want to miss my appointment because of the results I get after they treat me. They do so well I travel.over 1 hour to get my treatments because...
