Never going back.. Read so many reviews on here that made this place sound amazing so I was really excited to get some great authentic Mexican food. However, totally not the case. I was next to my girlfriend when she ordered the food WORD FOR WORD what it is listed as on the menu and she still had to repeat herself several times very clearly what we wanted. (Maybe they don't know their own menu?) She asked me to take the list with me because she was concerned they didn't understand her. So I get there and just make sure that their order matched what we had written down from the menu. It didn't her enchilada platter and my burrito were completely wrong. They got the Nachos and chips and guac right though... So they offer to redo it. They write our order down word for word, which we copied word for word from their menu.. So I wait in my car another 15 minutes till their 2nd attempt was finished. I assume this time they actually got it right so I come home with my food. Nope. My girlfriend's Enchilada isn't an enchilada in any shape or form.. My chicken burrito is the most bland burrito I have ever had in my life. The Nachos were okay but, after waiting while they cooked up the 2nd failed attempt, the nachos were cold and soggy.. However, the guac and chips were decent but nothing amazing. No desire to finish even half of our $44 meal.. which by the way.. is way overpriced for poor quality. I'll stick to Baja Fresh even if it is an extra 10 minutes away. Cheaper, fresh, delicious and never have an issue with them understanding the names of...

A few weeks ago we stopped close to closing, so we got some takeout tacos and decided the menu looked promising. The tacos were pretty good. The carne asada was lean, fairly tender and well seasoned….and the pork “al pastor” was tender and lean. The portions and salsas were A+.

Tonight we returned for dinner.

The place is small and reminiscent of those “hole in the wall” places we love so much. However, we did not love the food we ordered.

I had the “milanesa” (breaded beef cutlet). The portion was generous and looked appetizing but lacked flavor. I always appreciate when a dish is served with rice and beans….here, they also included a grilled nopal (cactus), grilled pepper & grilled onion! Plus, a little salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, radish). The rice & beans were pretty good…but I would have preferred refried beans. (didn’t know to ask).

My husband ordered the tostadas. We were surprised that they use diced chicken (shredded would have been more authentic)…and avocado would have been a great topping.

Would not order the milanesa or tostadas again…but will likely come back for tacos!

PS The flan was very disappointing. It was NOT rich and creamy…more like the texture and consistency of gelatin (or something...

Highlight of my experience was Terrible customer service! I placed an order at 3:50pm on Monday according to there google page they close at 9:30pm on Mondays. After placing my order I received a call back 10 mins after to tell me my order is ready for pick up. I told them i’m 30mins away and will arrive at 4:30pm. When I arrived at 4:35pm no one was there to serve me and the restaurant was closed. They called me multiple times while driving to the restaurant (7 time to be exact) within an 45 minute period. I was excited to try there food but very disappointed with the experience. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! They also need to update google page to reflect the...

Maybe I got the wrong thing on the menu but the carnitas burrito was a letdown. Filled with iceberg lettuce and rice, what little pork there was didn't have much flavor. The flour tortilla was very dry and not authentic Mexican. If you've had a flour tortilla in Mexico or southern California you know what I'm talking about. Perhaps my expectations were to high with a name like Tijuana Taco. I will say that a few other dishes I saw people eating looked good.

Tijuana Tacos is sleeper!!! Their tacos are amazingly authentic!!! I had the succulent and delicious Cabeza and Al Pastor tacos! The refreshing cucumber and radish accoutrements were a nice palate cleanser in between bites. Paired with a Tamarind Jarritos this was pure taco bliss deliciousness! Side Note: I fully intended on taking these home. I found myself smashing these off in the Wal-Mart parking lot! 🤣
