I went by the store yesterday and was shocked by a very very unpleasant Experience. There was an old man who was working as a cashier without a mask. He was so rude! When I asked him to cut me some bologna he cut one chunk when I asked him to slice it he was very upset and told me that I have to buy one chunk that he cut in addition to the slices that he will will cut for me. Otherwise he’s not selling anything! He then added that he is very well off and he doesn’t need my business. Since I promised my kids (Who were waiting outside) that I will be getting some bologna I asked him to cut some slices so I bought some bologna in addition to very overpriced dumplings that used to be $8.99 per pack now all of a sudden they were $13.99 a pack. There used to be 20% discount on over the weekend purchase he said there is no discount either. I am not going back...
Read moreThis place could be considered an ordinary "Russian" grocery store if not for the following negative aspects, which I witnessed. First: expired products are constantly found on the shelves, carefully look at the expiration dates! We bought canned food on which the expiration date was bashfully sealed with a price tag (see photo). Before this incident, we had seen mold on the sausage but considered this an exception. Second: the owner will be kind to you as long as you do not make a complaint to him. He doesn't know how to solve problems and doesn't value his customers. Third: the owner allows himself to gossip about his customers and talk about their mental problems. This is unacceptable. Summary: For our family, this place is off the list of places to shop until management changes. I would like such types of shops to remain in...
Read moreThe man at the cashier was very nice but everything else not so much. The fish was expired. I pointed it out but instead of taking it to the back, it was placed back in the fridge. The caviar that we bought, was $10 more than in another russian store that we went to after. When we got home, we realized that the coco was expired in April 2023 as well, so that's a trash. Also, every russian store gives you chocolate bar if you spend more than $100. Nice gesture. This one doesn't. Check your receipt as well, we got charged for an extra item. That could be an honest mistake though, it happens.
To sum up: Expired(some) overpriced products.
The extra star is for Dadu caramel ice cream. Hard to find anywhere else. And the man at the store...
