I was really angry and upset about my experience at Regal Hyattsville, MD. My friends and I were going to see 9:15 unfriended, and there were five of us. The first one bought the ticket to that movie, then the following one and I said the same, but I we didn't checked the tickets since the first one got it right.
However, after the guard let us in, we realized the movie on our tickets was Cinderella, whose time overlapped with unfriended. When we were going back and try to ask some questions in front of that Unfriended auditorium, the manager person or whatever stopped us, and he didn't even give us time to explain what happened, and he said, quote the same word"you guys have caused enough trouble, out!" I was so pissed at that time already, but I didn't want to make a scene there, so I stepped out. Because the other three friends of us have got in, we tried to buy the right tickets. While we were in the line, the manager guy showed up again and scowled us to get out. Since we are international students here, our speaking English is not very smooth, we didn't stand a chance to argue with him, especially he brought the security with him, so we left.
I get it he thought we might wanna see two movies with one ticket. But the time of those two movies were totally overlapped, which makes his thought completely impossible. And seriously, do you really think that we spend tons of money to pursue advanced education here only to save 10 bucks on this? What really pissed me off was that he wasn't listening us from customers perspective and being super unreasonable.
And I quote from the barbarian 'manager' who said " YOU THINK YOU GUYS ARE SMART RIGHT? " while literally kicking us out and almost getting hands on us. From the reality that we are getting our masters degree in UMD, yes we are smart, but clearly not smart enough to deal with such a 'zealous' customer service. Good for you Mr. Manager, have your people sell us the wrong tickets and letting us in only to catch us off guard and kick us out brutally when we were nicely and patiently trying to explain, even be forced to admit that it's all our fault and asking if we can repurchase when you were insanely yelling "OUT!!!" at us. Yes we are just international students and seem to have no options but letting you treat us this way, and I know that you said " It's OK! Just OUT! " when we mention that we will never go back to Regal again, still we will try our best to broadcast your 'services' in our university. I only hope that you will not do those things and scout those words to a younger kids next time. And good luck to every customer intending to go to this cinema, be prepared to get yelled for the...
Read moreI saw Teen Titans Go! To The Movies at 10am on 6/26/2019 for a special summer $1 showing. I went in theater 14. The theater was really nice overall, nice, big, and fancy with a decent screen size. The speakers were really good as well, it definitely sounded like they had a bass boost! However, parking is a bit of an issue as there are not many places to park. There is a parking garage just across the road, but parking is only free for two hours, so plan your time carefully. Also, although I did not have a problem with the theater itself, I definitely had a problem with the people I shared it with. There were about 5-6 summer camps in the theater with me, and they were all really noisy, rude, and disruptive throughout the movie. They were constantly talking and the second half of the movie, there were points where all I could hear were plastic containers crinkling. And at the end, I couldn't even hear the credits unless I stood up right next to the speakers. No one did anything about it either and I was disgusted by the state they left this theater in! Walk in, beautiful; walk out, trashed. I'm not sure if this is just a location issue though because I have been to $1 movies in the Regal locations in Germantown and the Waugh Chapel in Gambrills and did not have this issue. Also, when I gave the $1 note to the person at the counter, they did not know how to ring it up at first...really? Overall, the only real problems I had with the experience was the people and the...
Read moreHonestly I don't know where to begin, I went to this theater to see a movie with my girlfriend, it was Sinners. It movie was ok but we ended up missing the whole intro due to poor staffing, it was horrible. There was only 2 employees at the snack area and one of them wasn't knowledgeable on their stock/what they have. My girlfriend ended up paying for a cheese pizza when they didn't have any left, we went through a lot of trial and error and waiting almost 30-40 mins for everything. When we got our food, everything was hot and not dry, that has to be the only good thing. Someone was sitting in our seats that I paid for and we needed to find somewhere else to sit. The seats were small and close together, I accidentally knocked someone's drink over while trying to get in a seat, the seats were uncomfortable and I think my legs were touching someone else's. My advice, the employee needs more training and the place needs way better staffing, I'm not sure what his name was but that employee looked stressed, tired and over worked, they needed help. He was respect and patient but it could've...
