Rowan Fairfax Corner — Attraction in Fairfax

My ears were originally pierced by my mum when I was about 3 years old. Over the years I wore earrings less and less, until they finally closed and it became too painful to just punch through what was left of the holes with an earring. After a bit of research I decided to trust Rowan at Fairfax Corner. They only pierce ears, and are staffed by nurses.They take walk-ins, and when I entered their very clean store, I saw a couple of people who had just gotten their ears pierced. One of them was not doing as well as the other, and was being attended by two or three nurses. They gave the customer something to drink, reclined the seat a bit, and provided a receptacle in case the nausea produced. I felt bad for the customer, but could see the staff was doing everything they should to help their patient recover from discomfort. I turned my attention to my own reason for being there. I selected a pair of earrings which were clearly displayed and separated by price. I asked about the style of the closure and listened carefully to all of the information given me. I decided to additionally purchase their aftercare spray to keep my newly refreshed piercings clean, and free of infection. The process itself was quick and mostly pain free. It hurt less than the many times I used an earring to punch through the closing holes. I will have to keep these earrings in for the next 6 to 8 weeks, before changing to another pair. I would definitely go to Rowan again if I wanted another piercing. They are good at their jobs and do them...

Amazing experience for our 4mo and 2.5 year olds. Morgan and the rest of the staff were very welcoming, friendly and very patient. My toddler was shy and squirmy, and my newborn was tired and fussy. Morgan took her time with both girls ensuring proper lobe earring placement and did not rush the appointment. I genuinely enjoyed and appreciated our time with her.

For my toddler, they were able were able to do a tandem piercing which worked out wonderfully.

The facility was very clean and sanitary, and the staff openly shows the sanitation of the tools used prior to piercing. Morgan gave a thorough explanation of how the appointment would proceed and the steps for proper aftercare.

The piercing device they used looks similar to a piercing gun, but functions differently. I prefer the device they used because they have full control on the amount of pressure used when piercing.
