Stanford Oval — Attraction in Palo Alto

Worst experience of my life with Doctor Mary Hawn from digestive health. I went in for a hihenal hernia and was suppose to be in and out within 2 hours. All of a sudden my organs were failing and I was about to die . My life was revived 2x and then I fell into a coma. My family was told that I was dyeing and all because of this idiot doctor. First of all I'm a registered nurse and when you go in for a hihenal hernia there is a camera involved in the entire process attached. Any doctor that sees a serious problem needs to stop and consult with the patient but not this idiot . She ripped a huge whole in my stomach And nearly killed me. I spent 7 months of my life in the hospital ,lost all my beautiful long hair and have a giant whole in my stomach that now has turned into more hernias and my stomach is now bubbling. November 27 and now going into August and now I will need more sergury I believe that Mary Hawn has a serious problem and should be fired immediately. I find it funny that Google Maps keeps asking me to rate the Stanford Oval. Well, here we go: As someone who attended Stanford for 5 1/2 years and has gone on hundreds of runs around campus, I regard the Oval as sacred ground. Together with the Quad, it forms the heart of Stanford. Until closure to the public a few months ago due to the pandemic, it was a fantastic spot to come out and relax on a sunny day. Or, have a picnic, throw a frisbee, play some volleyball, etc. Picturesque photo spot. With the pandemic, access is nominally limited to students and staff, and you may not even be able park there. So... turn on one of the cross streets as you approach the Oval on Palm Drive, and you can park nearby, and maybe take the short walk...

The oval is one of a few crown jewels of visiting Stanford. It's a beautiful setting that brings out a sense of joy and wonder, both from the campus but also from visitors. The real enjoyment of the space seems to come from weekend visitors. Excellent scenery and people watching, too.

Note to transit riders, especially those heading to the East Bay from Stanford Oval: Marguerite, Ardenwood Express and U line are most reliable. If you are taking the Dumbarton Express, arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
