Came here for the first time after seeing the amazing reviews and here were my thoughts:
I was looking for a laundry mat that took debit cards vs coins (coins is just a bit antiquated and annoying lol). And this location offered just that. I called to confirmed and spoke to an associate who was awesome. I also went to their website to check out their services. They have a lot of different sized machines (all new), they also help with commercial laundry, and again, everything is a seamless process through card payment.
You get a laundry machine card (it's free), load the amount that you'd like to put (cash or card), and you get your laundry card.
I came to wash three queen size comforters and used their largest machine and chose the superwash cycle, it was $14 (not bad at all!) to wash only.
When I went to the website, there's a section called "specials". At the time I signed up (as of today is still active), there's a promotion fir $10 off for first customers. It didn't specify if it was for self service or drop off, just $10 off. I signed up, got the email, arrived to the location. Upon arriving, the employee was not sure about the promotion (it was new) but offered me to come back the next day, since the manager would be there to help out.
Now it's only $10, but I've seen a lot of business take on shady marketing practices, and I was starting to feel like it was a bait and switch to get customers to come in.
I was fairly disappointed as I had taken rhe time to come and was not sure if I could come next day. The employee, who I learned was called Christian, offered to call her manager (she did not respond). I offered to wait. I waited a few minutes and thankfully the leader got back to her, and the promotion was honored.
Long story short, Christian went above and beyond to help me out. She assured me that whether I decided to come back or stay, I would be helped. She had such a positive outlook and was extremely kind and went above and beyond to make the experience better.
Overall, it started off a bit rocky, but Christian was able to provide a solution.
The machines wash well, space is clean and tidy. They also offer free wifi and comfy movie theater like chairs for you to sit and wait for your laundry.
Thank you Christian and thanks again for the amazing customer service and experience! I will absolutely be back and will recommend this location to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate Edit: The following day I went to pick up my clothes and decided to voice my disappointment of the previous day with one of the employees, a well spoken older Cuban lady, and while explaining my dissatisfaction with the previous day, the manager (or owner), I guess overheard from behind and offered a discount card for my experience. I wasn't voicing my frustration with that compensation in mind, but it was a pleasant surprise that he took initiative to improve my experience. The assistant manager that was present today was actually the same employee that I had spoken to on the day of the mishap, and that day she hadn't been wearing a badge indicating her position but I was a little shocked to find that the same employee who looked clueless and could only say "I'm sorry" to me the day of the mishap was actually the assistant manager? Either way, I will say that I am grateful for the attention and courtesy I was given after the fact. I will definitely mention to anyone who asks that Express Laundry does take customer satisfaction seriously. :)
Honestly Iāve given the dry cleaning 3 chances, spaced out. The first time was my only and best experience with this place. The second time I had shirts that were ruined with white stains, but I didnāt mind because they were shirts I didnāt wear too frequently. What bothered me was that a staff member apologized for the ruined clothes AND getting me my clothes 2 full days later than they should have and she offered me a discount on my next purchase. The OWNER said that she could not offer me that, which frankly I overlooked because I understand maybe she did offer something that wasnāt hers to offer. However the courtesy would have been appreciated for my trouble. Fast forward 6 months later, I give the dry cleaning another chance... and my things are not ready 24 hours later when they said it would be. āIām sorry.ā Is all I get for wasting my gas and giving the establishment my money. Iām not giving this place anymore chances. The owner has no regard for clients and staff canāt seem to keep right on their designated pick up times. I gave it one star because a no star rating wasnāt an option. Very upset with my last experiences. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly but cannot flourish under bad management, or ownership...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter about a year of coming here, and typically loving their service, I got a big slap in the face. My clothes always come back to me clean, and smelling amazing. Somehow this last time, my clothes came back to me looking dirtier than when I dropped them off. How does this happen?
The time before this, I came back when the clothes were supposed to be ready and they were not, so they gave me a 20% discount. Maybe they felt that since they gave me a discount, they didn't actually have to wash my clothes this time? Or simply provide 20% of my usual service?
Usually, it looks like they wash my darks together to keep them nice and dark. My whites are always bright when they come back. This time.. I have faded jeans and the dingiest dirtiest white tops ever. I have dirty button up shirts that look like the were just thrown in the dryer without being washed and now the deodorant stains and permanent. I didn't send anything out of the ordinary, nothing different that I always send. The usual makeup, sweat deodorant... looks like they threw most of the clothes in one load and dried them all together and maybe they forgot to wash a few and just threw them in the dryer with the clan clothes.
I don't know what they did. I just know I have a bunch of dirty clothes that don't smell anything like they usually do. They smell like they were just thrown in the dryer with a dryer sheet and if you frequent this place, you know the clothes usually look good and smell fresh for a LONG time.
I am so disappointed to pull my business from here (as well as few referrals that I sent their way) but I am not only out of pocket for the fee that I paid them, but also a few shirts that may not be salvageable and undesirable fading to my favorite jeans. What a shame. I hope they do better in the future.
I have photos but somehow I cant get them to upload. View them on my...
