Update : This is under new management/ owner and recipes have changed. The teas are not made fresh upon opening and Boba was not available. Why open if you don’t have anything ready? Typically fresh brewed tea needs to be used within 8 hours. I came in opening afternoon and she basically told me there was no Boba and no fresh tea. previous visits makes sense that I could barely taste the tea or have an effect from it. drinks are either watered down with little flavor or too sweet . I agree with other reviews of poor treatment to employees as my niece left this establishment. Management could use some lessons and how to maintain your cool and treat employees with respect if you want your business to do well.
Today was the soft opening . Only drinks are and popcorn chicken is being made at the time but there is a food menu . We ordered a variety of drinks and all were refreshing and delicious. I would suggest ordering 50% sweet . The fruit teas as best around , and I’ve to ALOT of tea places. They also have a rewards program that only requires your phone number. Come check them out you won’t be...
Read moreTonight My children and I really wanted boba but didn’t want to go to the USF side from Carrollwood. We were on Waters and decided to try Tea Luxe Cafe. We ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea, matcha smoothie, and grass jelly tea. I have never had a bad experience when it comes to drinks…. until now. Not sure what their recipe is but it came up short for sure. The strawberry milk tea was definitely whole milk with strawberry syrup (way too much) and popping boba. It was nothing special and way too syrupy and sweet. The matcha tea had no matcha taste at all and the non-dairy creamer (maybe like other places they use the coffemate nondairy creamer powder) they used is very over powering and that’s all that could be tasted. Lastly the grass jelly tea was probably the worst as it had a bitter taste that’s hard to describe for a tea. It was not as sweet as it was bitter and my daughter gave up on it after a few sips. I think for $20… my three drinks would have turned out better but needless to say it is not up to our boba drink standards. To each their own and I wish the...
Read moreI was invited in as part of a grand opening event. Very spacious interior with a warm and inviting vibe. Staff was very friendly and happy to answer questions.
I got the matcha milk tea and have to say it is one of the best I've had recently. They make the teas fresh so it takes longer to come out, but the flavor difference is noticeable. There was a brown sugar drizzle with the tea that brought it all together in flavor and appearance. My wife had a strawberry milk tea and it had blended up strawberry in it instead of just flavoring. The boba pearls were the perfect level of chewy without being underdone.
My only gripe (which is very minor) is that the ice is the perfect size to go up through a boba straw, so you drink up a lot of ice with your tea. However the flip side to that is your straw never gets clogged so it's a personal preference.
Since a lot of boba places tend to be smaller, this would be a nice place to hang out a little longer and I look forward to trying it again along with some of their...
