My wife and I LOVE The Wildhorse Cinema! We happily make the 45 minute drive (one way) from a nearby community to attend first run movies and dine at Plateau (the restaurant upstairs).
Cinemas here are small but designed in a way that feels intimate rather than clostophbic. They've done a lot with comfortable, modern seating (complete with ADA accessibility) and a wonderful surround sound system. They're CLEAN and staffed by helpful and friendly employees who seem to love movies themselves.
Ticket prices are crazy affordable. We saw Wreck-it Ralph in 3D this weekend for around $15. They make some of it up on concessions but as theatres go, they're definately on the reasonable end of the spectrum. All told we spent around $25 on the cinema part of the evening.
Wildhorse Cinema is where we go when we'd like to forget that we're living in an area without many high quality entertainment options. Even if only for a couple of hours at a time, we're SO grateful...
Read moreWent for 3d Mario movie. The first 10 minutes the movie was completely unfocused. Two people went to report.
Then SOME focus was made with adjustment. But no matter how many times my parents or I went to report the focus was STILL off just slightly in the left eye(3d remember?).
The projectionist didn't do any thing. Instead he came over at the end of the movie and asked how old my prescription was. Doesn't really matter how old my prescription is, because everyone who I asked in my general area said left eye was unfocused.
Went to another showing else where and guess what? I didn't have an issue with my prescription and the image on the screen.
Ticket booth attendant Kristy was so kind no matter how many times I came to say something, she deserves a raise.
Projectionist was zero help.
Stay away from 3d showings, unless you're a glutton for...
Read moreThe cineplex is a fun place to take kids for a movie and my six year old daughter says, “it’s too awesome!” The staff are all warm and friendly and the price is right for tickets and concessions. There were only a few other people in the theater and my kids had fun dancing to the musical scenes. There is also a drop off childcare where my husband and I dropped our two kids off for an hour for $14. Again, the staff there were warm and friendly with a safe and fun environment for the kids. Overall, we enjoyed stopping off in the parking lot for a restful night on our way...
