Plateau — Restaurant in Pendleton

I am shocked to not have seen more poor reviews, as my guest and I will not be returning. We made a reservation and when we arrived, the table was not yet set. Possibly, the server was delivering the tastelsss lamb that we later ordered, but we waited almost fifteen minutes before we were greeted and offered cocktails. When the drinks did arrive, I feel that sand would have tasted just as good. The crab cakes for starters, were "jumbo" but again, like the lamb we were left with very little taste. The representation reminded me of the flap jacks my 7 year old once made. I asked my server for more water as the glass being dry was not clue enough. I watched her, and other servers walk by several times until my guest had to wave down a young man, with the pitcher, filling up other guests water. We ordered entrees half rack of lamb and halibut. As stated before, the lamb was tasteless and the halibut was severely overcooked. The potatoes had an instant mashed potatoe taste, although the "taters" were plated nicely. The sauteed mushrooms were the best part of the whole meal. Save your money, your time and drink your dinner in the lounge. Had eaten here 4-5 times, each time the food was good and the service fare. This weekend we met friend from ID. had reservations for Sat. night. Long story short. The Lobster Bisque was beyond salty. My burger was delivered stone cold, but the cheese was melted? Meaning it sat for 15-20. My friends wife was served pink Pork Chops, uh..... Not my recommendation of healthy. I returned the burger no replacement wanted. My friend sent her Pork Chop back for a bit more cooking. I give a restaurant one chance to screw up. Especially when you are looking at prices like they charge. Won't be eating at the Plateau again. But, on a good note. The night before my friends and my wife discovered a Fabulous restaurant 30 miles away in Walla Walla the "Brassiere 4" If you want a Great French food experience, make the 30 minute drive. The food was amazing great atmosphere initially only two other tables so it was pretty empty I had to ask for bread which was handled weirdly she said oh you want that now which was fine but what upset me and ruined the experience was and couple walked it also being mexican and they sat them right next to us completely stopping the conversation we were having honestly felt very racist considering and wt couple entered afterwards and were seated properly spaced from the others I will spend my measly 100$ somewhere else I never want to feel like that again I took a...
