We planned a dinner for a work get together at the Wildhorse Traditions Buffet. We contacted the buffet by phone and email a couple weeks/month prior to our scheduled event to see if we could make a reservation since we had a large party. We were told " We do not make reservations, however, we would appreciate a head count and the time you will be coming that way we can be prepared and have an area where we will put you in mind so we can sit other people around that area." I called a week prior and told them that we would have 15 people in our party, they asked what time ,we told them 5pm. We arrived at the buffet and Patty was at the cash register. I told her that we had called in for a large party and let her know we were there. Patty rudely stated, "We do not make reservations and we are really busy tonight so it is going to be a long time before you are seated." We were confused as to why we needed to call in and give them a heads up if it really didnt matter. Patty stated," That was to give us a the courtesy to know a large party was coming." I said, "To give you the courtesy? What about the courtesy to your customers and the people who are paying to eat here." She reiterated that they were busy so they would not seat us for "a long time". I asked to speak to the manager as she was so extremely rude. She then informed me that she was the manager. I then asked to speak with the resort manager then, she told me "they are around here somewhere you will need to go find them". I have not had such bad customer service in such a long time! I was embarrassed for Patty as her staff was trying to accommodate us, more than she was. I thought a manager would want to lead by example, it is a shame when a person like this ends up in management. Needless to say we will never go back to the buffet, at least while Patty is...
Read moreWhen we arrived for breakfast there were 6 other tables seated, so they were not busy and we were seated right away. That's when things took a down turn. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come to the table for our food and drink order. After she brought out out " orange juice" that truly tasked like Tang and our coffee we did not see her again for a coffee refill until our food was brought out 25 minutes later. I ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and ham, my wife had French toast and bacon. All of our food was cold. I'm not talking just not hot, it was cold. When I brought it up to the waitress she apologized and thennasked if we would like more coffee and walked off. The gravy tasked like it came from a bag and the bacon was dripping with grease. They did take 20% off at the register when I brought all of this to their attention. Honestly we had really poor service at both the restaurants at the...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in on our way through for the buffet, which they no longer have. But we opted to go ahead and dine in for the Friday night prime rib special. 25.00 for a single 22 for additional prime plates. It was a long wait in a not really busy space. In which they could accommodate several more tables. The servers were friendly. When our food came out it was near cold. They took it back to redo it. It came out warm the second time, however it wasn't the greatest. The prime rib didn't really have any flavor. The vegetables were cooked just enough to make them warm so it was like eating raw broccoli and cauliflower. I doubt we'll eat dine in again unless they bring a buffet back. But they've probably figured they can make more this way. I would...
