The older gentleman that works here who owns the place is kind of hit-or-miss. He's usually always friendly but he also has this air of superiority to him to where no one else is right about anything. And he is never wrong.
I've spoken with him a couple of times and even during a 3-month-hold on waiting for a piece of glass to be put into a picture, he never apologized a single time. It was always excuses after excuses after excuses.
I live locally. This is the place that I would prefer going to because of ease of convenience. Like I mean less than a block away. But because of my personal experience, I will happily go all the way down 501 at 5:00 p.m. and I will happily drive all the way back up before I bring another something back over there.
The work he did was great but it took 3 months and he was lying about literally everything.
For instance when we dropped it off he said it would take less than a week. And then it was two weeks. And then it was in a month. And then it was next week. And then it was the week after that. And then it was I sent an email but we never got one. And then it was he called but we didn't get the call. And then as the cherry on top after two and a half months of this back and forth, he says that the frame is broken. And then attempts to lie on me and my mother to say that we were the ones who broke it when it came in. And said that because of when the picture fell off the wall that it was broken during that time.
News flash, the picture never fell off the wall. You broke the frame. And then charged us for that repair. Crazy.
Also, one of the time frames that he said that he would have the picture done, he said he never even came into work because he wasn't feeling well. But yet that same week he was hosting glass making classes. So just a...
Read moreI took a private class on a Saturday, it was a gift from my wife, whom I would have sworn paid way too much. But Ed really walked me through the process, and for 2.5 hours he taught me to really blow glass, work with it, add colors. He showed me how to work with the tools, and made sure I was safe the whole time. Ed is a great guy with a love of glass, and in between projects he answered all my questions, showed me his work. This is a real artists shop, and Ed and Barabra are artists. Great ones. I started with a clear tumbler. Then a beautiful vase, then a paper weight, then he gave me my choice and we made a bowl (a big one). Sooo worth taking a solo class. After the class we sat a few minutes and got to know Ed and Barb and they're just awesome people, who take time out of running a business to share their love of glass. Thanks.
If you're considering doing a class, strongly suggest...
