Great place to visit. We stayed for close to 2 hours here, we would have stayed longer but they were closing. There were a lot of informative displays. We learned a little about the Waccamaw indians. There's a huge name board with soldiers from WW1 & WW2. Large displays of the items that were used during these wars and also a section with letters from Confederate soldiers(had to be my favorite part) Really this letters helped me understand the hardships these soldiers went thru. He knows his museum and local history of Horry Co. very well!! He made us feel special- like we were friends- is very proud of the museum. The building is spacious, clean, very interesting and has lovely exhibits. The room with braille on the displays was a welcome help for my blind friend!
