I can't even express how disappointed I am. Me and my fiance wanted to have our wedding here. The building itself was beautiful.
But the manager that runs the place was incapable of fulfilling her role. After giving us the contract, we had questions and requested adjustments just like anyone has the right to during a business transaction. She was horrible at communication and always ignoring my emails and calls.
Finally, we came on our weekend to go see her since we hadn't heard from her and she rushed us and made us feel so unimportant because she had an event that day. I understand she was busy but she had ignored us the entire week.
She went on to say that she was going to be gone the following week and that she had other people in line for the day that we wanted. So it was even more important that she got to us in time since it is first come first serve. But she ignored all communication with us and we had no chance at finalizing our contract. On that same visit, she told us she would send us the contract on the following Tuesday. We waited the whole week and we havent heard a peep from her.
And that is why I'm writing this because I want people to know that this place is too good to be run by someone who thinks they can treat people like this and guilt them into feeling like they are causing a problem (which she told my fiancee that she has never had anyone question the contract). And then completely ignore us the entire time so we had no chance of closing the deal.
We will be having our wedding elsewhere because I don't think she'll get back to me with a contract.
I thought it would be somewhere that I could be so proud of having my wedding and great wonderful memories, but I'm just met with so much...
Read moreThe city of Coppell and surrounding communities should swell with pride at this magnificent venue. Cities the size of most North Texas towns don't get to offer such a dazzling $22 million theater complex to the community. We've performed my play -- AMON! The Ultimate Texan -- about Amon "Mr. Fort Worth" Carter in six cities, seven theaters for, as of today, 36 performances. By far, the Coppell Arts Center is the grandest, closest-to-perfect of all the theaters we've visited. We were honored to be chosen as the first play to be performed in the new 440-seat theater in July 2021. The theater is terrific, and the entire staff offers 5-star customer service. I hope we can come back because the Coppell Arts Center has spoiled us. You did a great job...
Read moreI only walked around the outside then looked at the art in the small lobby gallery and hallway. Boxy, nondescript building lacks charm and cultural context. Public lobby/box office/gallery/concession/usher break area is cramped at the front. Art gallery space is very limited. For a high school student display it was fine. The classrooms and small auditorium are probably the best part and I just dropped in and didn’t see those. I couldn’t tell whether this place was a blank slate for creativity or if it might be an exhausting place to try to generate arts. Diverse staff and patrons. Location is in a mixed use warehouse and brand new residential area called “Old Town.” Tired landscaping....
