Twice I've taken a vehicle in for something relatively simple and was given HIGH estimate and told 1st time for small power steering leak, "Rack and pinion shot,everything is s in pretty bad shape. Need a WHOLE NEW steering system. We t to pick up vehicle and pay for est.; "Including $75 diagnostic fee." 😐Diagnostics fee? For a power steering leak!? 🤔Hmmm? One of my employees/ (somewhat a mechanic) replaced a hose. Problem solved. 2d time, need alignment after replacing tires. "Tie rods,upper and lower ball joints.... "Rebuild front end." Est. (Including alignment) $2,477.00 😳😐🙄 😅😅😅 Also, twice after drop off for est., got a call w/estimated cost. 15-20 later,2nd call, different person, "Uh, yeah, we can't do it at that price." Given significantly higher price. I asked, "Well WHY is 'HE' even calling me w/price,then someone else calls to tell me that price is too low,can't do that,and gives me price also $400 more? 🤔Hmmm? "Sorry, that's how much it's gonna be." "I"ll pass. Thanks anyway. The ONLY way I would EVER do business there again is if Jake, the manager is there and I deal w/ him. The only person there who has never tried to feed me BS. Even gave me a little discount for paying cash. Who does THAT anymore? It's a shame the rest of the 'crew' is less than scrupulous. Because of Jake, l'll add a star to my eating. Good job...

Keith Ace Hardware is NOT a bad store. Their a little higher priced than some other stores. However, they really drop the ball this time. I'm remodeling a house for a good friend of mine and it came time to put on the house wrap. My buddy doesn't have a hammer tacker so he got one there and picked up staples as well. The person at the counter said they would fit but, of course they didn't. So I told him I'd take them back and pick out the ones we need. Of course their out of them. So I called my buddy and told, asked what he wanted me to do. He said get a refund. So I did, but only for the staples. The counter person said it's not on the receipt. I don't have my glasses, so I can't check. I get back at the house and give him the receipt and explained that the counter person said that it wasn't on thereceipt and he says yes it is just right here. So needless to say, three trips to the same store for nothing. And we still have the hammer tacker, just...

Came in for a few replacement electrical outlets and switches store is bigger than it looks within a minute of walking in a few employees offered assistance. I brought a usa craftsman 1/2 inch ratchet to swap out you would think they would be a little more understanding that I'm trading a usa made ratchet for a shiny Taiwan ratchet but Heidi wanted to give me a bulky ratchet and when I asked about the next ratchet that lined up better with mine that cost only 5 more dollars she said I had to pay full price for it I even offered to pay the price difference with the trade in and she seemed abrasive about Craftsman (Stanley B&D) trade ins she did save me from swapping a 7/8 six point socket for a 12 point. I'll just go back to lowes from now on bigger...
