I went to the drive-thru for ice cream. I ordered a peanut buster parfait for me and specifically requested a small, tiny blop of ice cream in a small cup for my small dog. I paid for both ($8.xx), and they handed me a full plain ice cream in a cup. I explained to the extremely nice young man that I only wanted a plop, as it was for my super small dog. He then said, "Oh!! A pup cup!!" And turned and got me exactly what I requested. He haned me the cup, and some woman, I'm assuming a manager or team lead, raised her voice to him and told him "I don't ever want to see you put the ice cream in that container ever again." She was beyond rude to this young man. Not to mention that I paid for a full ice cream, as I know a PBP is not $8!! As he handed me my parfait, I thanked him and told him she was rude to him and it was uncalled for. He blew it off, which is fine. It shows his character and excellent home training. (Thanks to whomever his mom and dad are. You raised him right!!!) But that woman's attitude, demeanor, and rudeness were completely uncalled for. If he made a mistake, hey, we all do, correct him kindly, and NOT in front of a customer!!! I hope management sees this. I hope the young man working the drive thru on Thursday, February 22nd, at about 4:30PM sees this too. Sir, keep that great attitude!!! I have no doubt you'll go...
Read moreSo, my husband took me there today to order a dipped cone. The employee working the window comes back with this sloppy cone with chocolate barely on the icecream and running down the cone. I told her that that was unacceptable and she needed to remake it. She then came back with the 2nd cone just as bad as the first one minus it running down the cone. I then requested to speak to the manager and the team leader returned to the window. I explained to her that the service and food was unacceptable and that I no longer wanted the cone. She stated that the chocolate was too hot and if she remade the cone it would look like the previous ones. I stated again that I no longer wanted the cone and finally she agreed to give us our money, but didn't want to take the cone back. So, I told my husband to drop it. The team leader then states that she wouldn't give us our money which was the wrong thing to tell me. So, my husband pulls up and I go inside where I told the team lead to get her manager on the phone. Once the manager got on the phone, she apologizes and stated that she would tell the rude employee to give me my money. During that time 2 other customers from the drive-thru enters the store and states that their orders were wrong. Those young girls either need to be retrained or terminated for their piss poor...
Read moreI thought Fort Hood Street DQ was bad. This location made me discover it could be worse. Previous visits here have made me decide that DQ is really for ice cream only. The food is 0/10. And they never have any napkins out, even though ice cream is messy. As well as not offering napkins in drive thru. But then going for ice cream tonight made me struggle to ever want to come back here. Long drive thru line made me decide to go in because I didn't want my car partly in the intersection. Once inside and ice cream ordered, I watched a guy attempt to dip my cone about 3 times. Failing each time. Then they continued to tell me they just refilled their ice cream machine so it'd be a minute. Fine. I've already been waiting 10+ minutes. After the lady attempted twice, they just finally decided to quit and told me it won't work. Offered a different item. I refused as it was literally the only reason I came. For a dipped cone. Somehow, my husband's banana split was perfectly fine, though. But they couldn't put the ice cream in a cup and pour the chocolate "dip" over the ice cream. This DQ misses much more than it ever hits. Gunna have a hard time telling the kids no when they ask...
