RESEALED PACKS! 😔 So I’ve been collecting Pokémon Cards for a while now and since it’s hard to find Pokémon Cards out in the wild now so i decided to go to this card shop. The workers there were super nice and were really helpful whenever I had questions and they answered accordingly. I spent around $90 for a Shining Fates elite trainer box and a Pokémon card which I thought was a little expensive but again was very happy to buy it. But once I came home and I opened the box the order of the cards are all messed up? There’s an energy card stuck in the middle randomly and some holos after and some basic Pokémon at the very end which I’ve never seen before. After that I inspected the packs and I can clearly see the packs are glued shut and very badly put together. The paper also feels very thin. Very disappointed because it genuinely looks like a cool spot to hangout. Again just wanted to put this out there so people know and no hate to the workers maybe they didn’t know but it just sucks that I spent so much for this quality. I put pictures at the bottom so you could see the glue on the packs...
Read moreSecond time in. First time wasn’t bad, long haired employee didn’t seem interested in …really anything. Very short answered. Until he talked to any other customer. Strange but chalked it up to me and my kids were just new kids in their clubhouse. Came back with them for the prerelease of a new Pokemon set, both boys were very excited. Youngest brought his binder to trade with the store, his big brother overheard long hair being rude to him. He scoffed at his trades (he’s twelve and new) and told him he likely wouldn’t get anything for them anywhere. Seems like a different tactic could have been used to keep new people around. Instead it angered his big brother and he came back to the table and told me what happened and he wanted to leave because he didn’t want to do business with people like that (he’s 18).
I’m sure they’ll be delighted to know we won’t be back.
Update- response to their response-
Excellent example of being completely condescending. Seems as if the responses here are on autopilot...
Read moreGreat place, really relaxed environment. Commander player here, I traded a few cards in, typical trade in value for a game store, so no complaints here. I bough a few magic singles after trade and found a few really good deals. Some of the stuff sits a little above market, but I'm just assuming that's because they can't go in a re-price every card every time there's a price flux, but that also leaves room for good deals too. Staff was really chill and helpful.
Now, for my biggest complaint, which is mostly a giggle. You guys put your price stickers on the sleeves you sell the cards in(Dragon shields, etc,) and I use those to put commanders in, but the stickers tear, and I cry every time I have to throw away a...
