I have been coming to the Whalehead Club and historic Corolla Park since before it was restored. This property and grounds is rich with history and amazing scenic views. This is absolutely a must from the bird sanctuary to the historic house. The grounds are beautiful and hosts a variety of events year round. Perfect for every type of Photography and great for picnics. The self guided tour of the house and is well worth the $7.00. Take a moment to stop in here at sunset or even sunrise and capture the beauty of the sound and house in all it's splendor. Friendly staff go in great detail of the house and history of the island from it's hunting days as well as guests and time of prohibition. With the first basement, elevator and pool of it's time on the island and use during the civil war, there is much to see and do. Make this a stop on your trip...

The grounds are great for easy biking. There are picnic tables for enjoying a picnic lunch. The center also has ongoing videos in their theatre room perfect to enjoy on a day with not so...
