Coronado Beach is one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in all of San Diego. From the soft, sparkling sand to the gentle ocean breeze, everything about this beach feels like a perfect coastal escape. The views are absolutely stunning, especially around sunset when the sky lights up in warm tones over the Pacific.
The beach is clean, spacious, and family-friendly, with plenty of room to relax, take a stroll, or set up for a full beach day. The iconic Hotel del Coronado in the background adds a classic charm, and the entire area has a relaxed, upscale vibe without feeling too crowded or commercial.
It’s also easy to access, with nearby parking and walkable spots to grab coffee or a bite to eat before or after your visit. Whether you’re looking to unwind, take photos, or just enjoy the sound of the waves, Coronado Beach is a must-visit when...

Families with kids will love how much space there is to run around. Bring snacks and spend the day here. Just be ready to look for parking and maybe arrive a bit earlier...

No parking structure, but plenty of street parking and in the adjacent neighborhoods, which is worth the walk if you even viewing beautiful homes and varying architecture. Dog Beach is north of the firepits so don't be surprised if you encounter wet 4-legged pups...
