Read moreCoronado beach is one of the beaches I always make sure to visit when I am in San Diego! The beach itself is very long, so there is plenty of space for everyone. If you are towards the Hotel Del Coronado side, they have a machine that occasionally sweeps the seaweed away, which is a nice touch. This is also a nice area because you can go to the Del if you are looking for something to eat. They also have a restroom area further down towards the north side of the beach. Make sure to take a look at the Coronado sand dunes that spell out Coronado! The sand on the beach is absolutely gorgeous-I love the way the sand sparkles in the sun. The beach is also a great area if you enjoy collecting seashells. The water is nice to walk in, but if you plan on going swimming, be aware that the micah found in the water and on the beach will stick to you! Also, remember to do the stingray shuffle when entering the water, as I have seen many lifeguards going by to help people. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Coronado beach if you are...

We visited Coronado Beach on a Saturday and had a great time. It gets pretty busy around noon, and parking on Ocean Blvd was tough we had to drive around for 10–15 minutes before finally finding parking on nearby streets like Pine St, Marina Ave, G Ave, or F Ave. From there, it’s just a short walk to the beach.
The beach is clean and well-maintained with restrooms and showers available there are a couple of outdoor showers and two indoor ones inside the restrooms.
There are 6 beach volleyball nets set up and available for public use, which adds a fun and active vibe to the area. We also saw lots of surfers and even a few people with private jet skis. You can even rent a firepit for a few hours, which is a great way to relax later in the day. Lifeguards are on duty, so safety is covered.
Overall, it’s a lively and scenic beach perfect for a day of fun, just make sure to come early if you want...
