LOVE THIS BEACH!!! I have been to this beach too many times to count now and forever see myself coming here. If I could afford to retire here one day, well then everyone would know where to find me!! If you are fortunate enough to to be able to access the beach beach from base side, it's never crowded and just perfect. Having been on both sides, I do like then both, but with a small child, the less crowded side on the base is the obvious choice. Waves are perfect and if you're someone who's interested in collecting sand dollars, well then come on down because they are endless!!

The only downside,I lost my wallet with all my id and am still waiting for some to turn it in. I figured with it being on base I would have gotten in back quickly. I came out here to visit my family and enjoy spending time with them in San Diego. Update: The day before I flew out I was called by a Navy Federal Cedit Union Representative who informed me that my wallet had been found and turned into the lifeguards. Thank you to the person who turned it in!! Thank to the lifeguard who took the time to find me!!!

Be careful with the HOT sand from the parking lot to the water. Its hotter than doughnut grease at a fat man convention. Your feet will feel like they were battered and deep fried. Other than that the beach is chill. We even got to see a pod of dolphins come close to shore, it was pretty cool! You can also find sand dollars if you look hard enough.

My favorite beach. I feel kinda sorry for the civilians all over the beach outside of base way too crowded. So thankful for this military benefit!!! Go Navy!

Clean, of course. Quiet always. Gorgeous. Kinda nice being near flight path. It’s cool to be relaxing watching military jets and helos flying low overhead.

Reception area. Perfect for parties and weddings.

MP patrolled. Dawn til 2300. No night privileges on the beach. MP does watch closely. We were chased off one via speaker. It was so embarrassing! But funny. The MP told us via speaker there were no night privileges. It was the “please get off the beach repeated as we were walking toward the lodging that was do embarrassing. Yep, everyone outside was watching. Lol. It was funny

BBQ, volleyball, Naval Gateway right on the beach. Very nice pricing. Around $70 and slightly upward. Has been a while since staying in the lodging but looked up pricing a couple...

Very clean beach on the naval base. I have never once seen it crowded. The surf is not high as the beach sits so far back. Swimming and paddleboarding would be easy although I never see anyone taking advantage of it besides some casual splashing. Lifeguards are very attentive. Everytime someone walks too close to the fence by the Coronado dog beach they come out in their truck. Extremely kid friendly. Most of the small amount of people here are families. There are several firepits, grills, and ramadas for parties. The beach is very thick so be prepared for a bit of a hike. I never go to any other beach unless someone...

-Free parking in the Breakers designated parking lot. The other parking lot is for the Navy Lodge and requires a parking permit on display (or towed at owners expense). -Pets (including dogs) ARE NOT ALLOWED! Take your dog to the City of Coronado dog beach, the beach bordering the base beach. -Dress for the wind; it's not always warm here. -There are many small weddings on the beach. -Don't be fooled by the Navy Lodge on the beach. They cannot clean the rooms fast enough to allow you to actually check-in at 1500. This is a daily occurrence. Their breakfast is the same and...
