I left off 1 star only because I went only 1x so far....I don't live n in Cresskill but driving up to Closter and realized I needed to get some groceries before I got home... I googled and Kings came up...had a bad experience with this chain (Different store) years back and kids/ I vowed to never shop them again....however, saw some good reviews and realized the people in/around Cresskill would not keep a bad store....so, I tried. Very happy. Meats/food from deli were fresh and had good flavor (pasta salads, etc), good selections of milks, cheeses, snack bars, bread, fruits, etc. Only pricing seemed a little higher than competitors locally. Anyway, don't think you will be disappointed with offerings, quality or selection but pricing can be a $1-2 less at other markets locally.
**EDIT -- sorry, had to go back for 2nd trip as pricing was bothering me from other comments ... prices here are insanely high (reduced my rating again)... $8 for a loaf of Kings bread (regular bread!), $7/3 scones, $7/lb for potato salad, $8.49/lb for chicken breast, etc... prices double+ what other supermarkets in this area charge! Read moreFRAUDULENT Delivery Practices in Kings Food in CressKill NJ I just placed a delivery order for my mom and she received a cut in half receipt with the last four numbers not matching my card number and was given the bottom of someone else's receipt for $89 and my email confirmation says $142, therefore they're trying to rob me almost $50. Some lady came to deliver the groceries, and the email says has a foto of Andres, and this lady was not Andres as the email says and she was not wearing a mask either which is a different violation I am also immediately reporting with legal authorities because we are talking about the health of my mother and the risk of where we can go in this case with your fraudulent practices. There is no way to speak with anyone online nor by phone at Kings Super Market, and the Manager at that location his name is Mike could not confirm the order by phone, nor speak about their great #KingsFoodMarket Fraudulent Delivery Practices; all you have about any fraudulent suspicious activity on your site is exactly explaining the same scenario I am experiencing and to take it with our bank immediately: I am on the phone with my bank now....
Read moreI will always give Kings a much better rating as my family & I have always trusted & appreciated the quality & customer attn we've always known to expect for decades.
But this evening - day 2 of the stupid bag ban in NJ - I toted my bag thru the store picking up a few items to cook for a cinco de mayo dinner... after putting my SIX items on the belt&moving my tote to the area where cashiers or other front end associates would normally pack up my groceries, this one cashier simply made no effort to put my items into my tote, handed me my receipt, &continued chatting/flirting w/the adjacent young man@the next register.
So I wonder Kings - NJ makes us bring our own bags now... does that absolve your cashiers to assist your customers to "bag" our groceries too? Was that somehow removed from their core responsibilities?
