Cresskill Hot Bagels — Restaurant in Cresskill

Out of any bagel shop I've been to, this place has the worst service. The man who works here regularly, always looks like he is in a horrible mood, and usually I put up with it but today he was incredibly rude to me. I ordered a bagel and then I decided later on that I wanted to also have a coffee and I asked and he snapped back at me, "I asked you earlier if you wanted anything else!" Unnecessarily rude and almost like he didn't want to do his job. The bagels here are overpriced for what you get and the fillings are incredibly overpriced. I observed that they have some people here who come regularly and seem to get additional things for free or not getting charged or being told that it is included. I have never gotten any of these services even though I come regularly and I don't get these tiny macaroni salads that they seem to love to pass out to some of the women who come into the store. Several times I've ordered toasted bagels that I see later are completely burnt to a crisp. The bagel shops in Tenafly are much better and nicer to their customers. I sometimes came here due to convenience but after this recent encounter, I'm kicking myself for spending so much money only to be treated rudely, and for a mediocre...

DO NOT GO! Ripoff - this place is highway robbery. $6 and change for a bagel with turkey bacon. Bagels aren’t even good. Just drive two minutes to tenafly for good bagels.

Update: I decided to give this place a second chance based on the more positive reviews since I went. I regretted my decision the second I got home and open my sandwich. I once again attempted to order a turkey bacon, egg, and cheese. This time it cost me $7.25 and had a shocking single piece of turkey bacon. I thought maybe the Cook made a mistake but when I called there was no manager available and the person in charge advised me that the sandwich comes with only one piece of turkey bacon at first I laughed because I thought it was a joke. I questioned the employee as to why they would think that even makes sense, and instantly understood that this is a decision from management and the owner that the staff does not agree with. Honestly, how cheap do you have to be to put one piece of turkey bacon on a sandwich? It doesn’t even take up a quarter of the sandwich. How little do you think of your customers?
