C U Latte — Restaurant in Cresskill

I’ve eaten omelets at many restaurants around the world, and I’m truly impressed with the quality and taste of the omelet CU Latte prepares. I’ve even tried every other place in the surrounding towns that offers omelets on their menu, and none come close to the taste CU Latte delivers.

As a longtime Cresskill resident, I’m practically addicted to their omelet. I asked the owner, Borga, how that’s possible. He explained that their professional crepe-making pan adds to the magic—it cooks better than a traditional cast iron pan when making an omelet. He also mentioned that the overall quality of the ingredients and their secret cooking method make all the difference.

I always pair my omelet with the croissant they offer, which is sourced from Balthazar, along with their delicious hot latte.

One of my go-to coffee places. You might think "Hey, a coffee shop and crepe place is a tad new-age/hipster" and you'd be right.... But I don't care. Their coffee selection is great, crepe's are delicious and the nice people behind the counter are patient and funny.

I'd definitely take one of those rewards cards on the counter when going there. 10 purchases gets a free coffee and it'd be a waste once you realize you want to go back.

On to the -slight- downside. For coffee, it could be pricey. Definitely won't break your wallet, but if you're expecting 7/11, Dunkin, McD's type spending... Well, one of those three...

We went to C U Latte for brunch and had a Chicken Pesto Panini and a iced Caramel Macchiato. The panini was flavorful with just the right amount of pesto mayo and a light thin bread toasted to perfection. The coffee was a generous size for the price (20 oz) and was a good balance of strong and sweet. We liked it so much that we decided to try their crepes with strawberry, banana and dark chocolate drizzle and it was good, but in my opinion, could be better.
