Nice place to walk. Fairly flat for the most part and you do have to take a detour onto a sidewalk of a street to complete the full loop. Parking is paid in the main parking lots but there’s also street parking. There are several parking lots and there is an app to download from the App Store to pay. You will need to remember your plate number and the parking spot number. One nice thing about the app is it will remind you when you are getting close to the end of the time you paid for. Plus you can top up your balance from where ever you are. No need to go back to your car and find some loose change. There is also an enclosed area serving as a dog park - it fun to watch the dogs playing together. Only downside was going on a weekend and all the people hanging out playing their music. Wouldn’t class this as a hike per se but more of a hang out spot. Going on a weekday and it’s nice and quiet. Just a few folk out for a stroll or walking their dogs. There are some nice local coffee shops, a Goodwin’s market and beautiful views that all make for a nice day out.

Rented a bnb close to Lake Gregory for 4 days to get away from the chaos of Las Vegas for once. When we went to the lake the 2nd day, really looking forward to swimming, but apparently so many people fish off of all of the public beach areas that it’s not safe to go swimming because of potentially getting a fish hook stuck in you. The only spots where you are able to swim are gated off and only open on the weekends, AND you have to pay a fee to get in, at least that’s what the state worker said while him and his crew were going around emptying the trash cans.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a designated fishing area rather than polluting all of the beach areas with fishing debris? Way to ruin a good thing.

I’m...

If you go on a weekend, be prepared to get there early and buy your tickets online ahead of time. There are two lines when you get there one for people that have bought tickets and others for people that haven’t bought tickets yet. If you want to bring an easy up, you have to go all the way to the right, which is kind of far from the slides. I suggest just bringing umbrellas if you wanna be close to the jumping area. It is very, very crowded For such a small beach, but our kids had a blast bouncing all day long. Again, get there early before it opens maybe about a half hour before. Overall,...
