Favorite family friendly Park: 2 playgrounds 2+ rentable pavilions, available to book the city website-always busy, plan ahead. 2 more covered sitting areas. Excellent picnic place Spray pad open memorial thru labor days in summer Frisbee/disc golf baskets along walking trail Bike/walk trail along Creek with wide pathway Big parking lot, wheelchair accessible to pavilions (for those with handicapped family at pavilions & restrooms, not sure about access to playgrounds) Outside restroom structure with running water and drinking fountain (also wheelchair accessible) Excellent Rock skipping in Creek, plus a bridge which goes into the woods... Open area on one side and then lightly wooded on the other which is also prime location for hide and seek or a Nerf gun war, if you like 😉 Across the other bridge on South side are some older pieces of playground equipment which could be considered a 3rd playground... I really enjoy these as this is what playgrounds looked like when I was young... The metal slide, tall old original swing set, welded metal tank with wooden seat. Granted this one sits under the power lines, that never bothers me. The 3 playgrounds are basically from 3 different decades, which gives excellent variety! Never met an unfriendly face all the years we've been bringing our children and we may only have 2 more years before they're done with parks! July 4th is a huge City party... Look it up on Crowley's website and again: plan ahead! Hope...

Disc Golf: course could use updated tee signage; groundskeeper said to me (on 8/8/2021) that they were working on adding some pin positions, so they would be updating the signs after that's done. Fantastic course that challenges every shot, while still being a fair test. Beginners will need a stroke handicap on a couple of holes, but that gives them extra practice shots, so I have to say it's a great course for anyone who plays or would like to play. Make sure to download the UDisc app as the layout has a few holes close to each other which makes a few spots where it's easy to go the wrong way, and one where it's easy to throw to the wrong basket. About 6 straight holes, 6 left to right holes, and 6 right to left holes. Also 6 wide open holes, 6 narrow holes, and 6 in-between or with another obstacle like a big hill. Has to be the most well rounded course in DFW. Best to play in the morning if it's going to be hot that day, as the 3 holes at the beginning and the 3 at the...

This is by far one of my most favorite parks in Northern Texas due to its enormous property that allows everyone to come and escape and relax. Whether it's hiking, disc goal, fishing, out -door flag football, to having picnics, etc.. It is a fantastic place to come and let loose. While I was out today, I notice the police out on bikes patrolling the park which is very comforting for someone who has children, who love going to the park and playing on the swings and the fun friendly equipment provided by the park. I'm understood by some local disc golf players, that the 9th, 3rd and 13th holes are some of the favorites to play on which happens to be located into the back of the park which makes it a nice hike into the woods.

Came here for the disc golf course as I've heard good things and it did not disappoint!! Tough course with tons of elevation change and trees! It's possible to lose disc's here also if you're not staying near the fairway. I used my Ridge Roller R3 cart and it was some work for sure, but I cart every course. I would highly advise using the udisc map to help navigate for the first time as the tee signs are still not updated to the new course design.
