After attending for 3 years we did not receive our deposit back. We filled out the withdrawal slip when they were passed out in the pre-k classroom for those who would not be coming back after graduation for the summer. We were told the following in an email
"We require a two week notice of withdrawal in order to either use the deposit for the child's last week or to get the deposit back. We did get a withdrawal form but unfortunately it was not a two weeks notice.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Courtney"
In addition I have to agree with the other reviews... Over the years we have stayed due to the director Ms Renae however the classroom teachers and staff rotated quite a bit. Ms Lisa was always a friendly and would greet you as you pass by, the others not so much. Don't expect any pleasantries or smiles even when making a weekly payment if its with Ms Courtney the bookkeeper who helps out in the office. They close at 6pm so if you work on the other side of DFW but live in Crowley/Burleson be sure to adjust your schedule.
Yes, there are very few African American children attending and working there. When a staff member is leaving, or will no longer be in your child's class you won't get notice unless they are asking for a donation or well wishes for the teacher leaving. When there was a new teacher for the class a week to two weeks later they would sometimes send a letter home giving information about the new teacher. However the additional staff member in the classroom will change every months.
They follow the Abeka curriculum, however over time my child would get bored with all the coloring. They will also give them weekly bible versus to recite and receive a blue ticket to get a prize out the treasure chest. They will also hand out red tickets at the end of the week for good behavior. From my observations of the different class levels they go over a lesson and then give them multiple worksheets to color or work on. You do pay a supply fee but I've also had to replace crayons and markers for my child after visiting and seeing he had very few in his box and all broken crayons. If they attend in the summer you will also pay an additional activity fee. The daycare food is made in the same kitchen as the school side and they have a decent balanced menu for them. If you want your child to participate in PC Kids or Soccer Shots they offer it as well for an...
Read moreI have been apart of Generations Church for 26 years. This place is more than a church, it is family. The pastors/staff/lay people truly care about the people inside and outside of their walls. I’d encourage any families with young kids to come and visit. We have a strong group of young married couples and babies are always welcome :) . Pastor Jen is an amazing children’s pastor and Pastor Eli is fantastic with the youth! Pastor CB, Pastor Clint, and Pastor Josh all wear many hats to serve the congregation on a daily basis. Your family will be loved and...
Read moreI've been to many churches in my life, trying to find my way and this is the only one I can call our "home church". The people welcome you like family. The pastors aren't worried about being politically correct, they're worried about you as a Christian, as a believer in Jesus Christ. That said, they pour their heart out into the programs and classes that are offered. These offerings change to fit the needs of the congregation. All of which are designed to encourage building a relationship with God. That is what you...
