This is my 3rd musical concert at the theatre. I enjoy the acoustics and been great watching as well, however, tonight has completely made me feel let down.. music was great and show, but the man running the concession made me angry how he treated my wife's friend. She was there before me waiting for popcorn. I owed her our two tickets and he couldn't break my 100 I asked if she could and she started counting. He said to her" that'll be 4.50 and she said please wait min we are figuring out how much I owe back from a 100. He slammed the door and sighed as if she had done something. She said calm down it'll only take a second. He said don't tell me to calm down I run this show and I can have you thrown out. I just looked up and said really. I gave him 5 and said keep the change. I have to say if I was a young more excitable man he would have learned something tonight. The reality is a person with anger and or control issues doesn't fit the criteria for a customer...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed the concert that we heard at the Crystal Theatre. Certainly the performers (Tim Zimmerman and the King's Brass) were the biggest part of the event. But the venue was certainly impressive as well. I've always thought Crystal Falls was a very beautiful town in the wilderness. This venue seems like a gem in the middle of a beautiful wooded wilderness. I was told (and also read on their website) that the Crystal Theatre seats over 500. Although, I believe this to be true, the setting certainly feels more intimate than that. As I listed to the concert, I thought about the room. It seems no larger to me my than church building which seats about 100. Apparently, that's wrong. The group used the Moller Theatre Organ and the Model D Steinway and Sons piano. Both were amazing. The lead performer (Tim Zimmerman) commented that the building must have been designed by a brass player because the acoustics were outstanding for his...

If you have never been to the Crystal Theater, we'll you are in for a treat. This place has been around since the 1920's. Probably seats about 2,000 people. The town did a great job restoring this gem. If you ever get to Crystal Falls, Michigan, drop on in and see one of the many top notch artist who perform there. You will not be...
