8/24/2020 I'm not really into reading long reviews and I'd imagine most people aren't either. Having said that I could talk for hours about how incredible the food here is. It's like nothing I've ever tasted.

Not only is the food delicious, but each ingredient is arranged in a way that each one not only compliments but elevates the others. The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a meal and the customer service is done with a smile throughout the whole experience.

As far as what I enjoyed The Bull pizza was center stage. Its subtle sweetness perfectly built over time and the ingredients where arranged so that while you could certainly tell it was the same pizza, each bite was a different experience. More amazing was even the ingredients I don't normally like, in my case chopped tomato, was so well done I couldn't help but love it.

Next comes the corn bread. Remember those times in life when your like "whoa, I didn't see that coming", this it that, it is the corn bread. I was so ready to have to do the usually sip of water after taking a bite like I'm use to with other corn breads but there was none of that here. Perfectly moist and delicious I can think of no way to improve on this.

Finally the Grilled mac n' cheese with Brisket. Good enough to curse but I won't cuz this isn't the place for that. The texture, and balance between the cheese, sauce, and brisket was so amazing I even enjoyed making a mess while eating it. A great way to round out the meal with a combination of Flavor and Fun.

In summary The Curious Pig is a reason in itself to plan a trip up North. Of all the things I did on my 3 day get away this was by Far the Best experience. Worth the 2 hour drive and I'm already making plans with friends to go again. Maybe...

Not what I was expecting. I was traveling through the area a couple years ago and saw they had a Luau Pizza with a coconut sauce and toasted coconut, ham and pineapple. Unfortunately, they were closed the day I rolled through. This time I made sure they were going to be open when I was traveling through again mid June. I love coconut and never heard of a pizza like that so very excited. I ordered takeout. That pizza without red peppers and their hush puppies with pimento cheese. The girl who took my order said that those were her favorite items from the menu so I had high hopes. I get my order and go to my RV. I open the pizza it doesn't look great. I take a bite and it's lacking any coconut flavor. The hush puppies were ice cold. I was going to go back in to tell them but I figured I was going to have to heat them once I arrived at my RV park so why bother though I'm sure they would have been excellent fried and crispy. I didn't complain about the pizza at that moment either because it was edible just not what I was hoping for. Nice restaurant though. Seating inside and out. Friendly staff. I would go back if ever in area again and maybe try their pulled pork or other BBQ and would eat at the restaurant instead...

We enjoyed our first experience at The Curious Pig today. I’ll highlight pros and cons for anyone who prefers a more condensed read. Pros: Fun atmosphere, charming outdoor dining area, very clean, super friendly wait staff, unique sandwiches and pizzas, creative twists on southern cuisine, pimento cheese was especially delicious! Cons: Quite a long wait between ordering and receiving the food, food did not arrive all at once (one person in our party had their meal ten minutes earlier than the rest of us), very few vegetable options on the menu, brisket sandwich contained a substantial amount of chewy fat - which wasn’t enjoyable to eat, pieces of chicken on the pizza were very large...shredded or finer dice would be simpler to keep on the pizza when eating.

All of this said, the extended wait for the food could likely be due to staffing issues which are plaguing restaurants everywhere currently, resultant from COVID closures and subsequent ramifications for employees and employers. It was a beautiful day and we didn’t mind the wait while sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine. This is a really fun dining find for the the area!

Will definitely give it...

We stumbled across this place hungry on some travels and by random chance. Nice surprise! Smells great as soon as you get out of the car. The location is really cool with a lovely interior and warm lighting. Between my husband and I we had brisket, sausage and rib on our platters with Mac n cheese, beans and veggies. Everything was amazing. Loved the seasoning on the veggies and the smoked flavor of the Mac n cheese. The portions are generous so even though we arrived with an appetite, we had plenty of leftovers. More than expected when some other diners took off and left an untouched piece of brisket on the table. I’ve never done this before but I grabbed the brisket off their table to take home because it’s that good. lol
