Infield Bar & Pizzeria Inc — Restaurant in Crystal Falls

Been here twice, both pre-covid. Both times my family and I were the only ones at the table and after 20 minutes the first time (I went up and asked the barkeep if there was a server and if we could have menus; the second time, I went up after 10 minutes and asked for the menus) we decided on our drinks and order and sat there. And sat. And waited. The barkeep kept chatting and laughing with the regulars at the bar, ignoring us. I wanted to leave, but my husband felt we had waited so long here, he didn't want to leave and then have to start waiting elsewhere. I went up, asked for our drink order and our meals. We were served soggy fries and greasy burgers. My 12yr old son will eat anything. He took a few bites and couldn't eat anymore. The fries tasted like they were just defrosted and not even cooked. Our sodas were never refilled and the whole impression we got on both times, was "this is for regulars, not outsiders. You're not welcome here." The first time we thought it was an off-day. I was amazed at how rude the staff and the customers were here. My g/f and myself just stopped in to check this place out and when we came in my g/f wanted to play some music so she went to the juke box and the bartender proceeded to come up to her and asked her "a guy at the bar would like you to play some music for him" and he was holding out a dollar bill. What kind of employee does that?? So anyway we blew it off and started playing a pool game. We were 2 shots into the game and some hillbilly loser came strolling by and grabbed a ball and moved it on the table. I was like wtf? and there was the bartender watching all this.. I threw down the pool stick and let the bartender know we would never be back. Beware if you have a woman with you not to go...

First time eating here and we were really impressed with the food and staff. My boyfriend had the pizza and he thought it was one of the best pizzas he has ever had, I tried his and I thought it came in at a very close 2nd place to my favorite pizza joint. I had the fried walleye for dinner and I thought it was very good, it was not greasy like other places, my boyfriend ageed about the fush. The food came out in a timely manner, the staff was awesome and attentive. Our slight complaint was that the music was a little too loud.
