Wow Ben Franklin in Crystal Falls is still in business? That's totally awesome. I never thought it would still be open. I'm 54 now and remember going shopping there as a kid with my parents when we would vacation on chicaugon lake at our lake lot up from Chicago. I remember coast to coast hardware and the bakery too. My cousins and I would get toys from Ben Franklin. My dad, my uncle's,and my grandfather would buy fishing tackle at coast to coast. Sometimes they would enjoy a cold one at the infield bar. Very nice five-and-dime right in downtown Crystal Falls. They carry the type of things you would expect to find in this type of establishment. There is a very nice section of greeting cards and postcards for all occasions, an expansive crafting area with lots of goodies. There are Crystal Falls t-shirt and sweatshirts and yooperland apparel. Games and toys for a rainy day if you're in town camping and get rained out. Wow-oh wow! This store has improved greatly since I was there last. MAJOR remodeling and improvements!!!! Great selection of tee shirts, puzzles, gifts, and new additions of high quality quilting fabric - yeah! I simply LOVE their huge yarn selection too.
