Tradewinds Cove Birkenstock — Attraction in Crystal Lake

Amazing place to buy a real pair of Birkenstock footwear. Thousands of shoes in stock, don't just go in and look at the display and assume that's all they carry! If you have the time, and are looking for an excellent pair or shoes or sandals.

Explain exactly what you're looking for, and in no time you're going to have at least 6 boxes in front of your feet to try on. The staff is amazingly knowledgeable about the stock they carry, and your feet. You may even try on 10 pairs just to get your "feel", and then they'll go for style and type, once you've narrowed down what you like for fit and feel.

Trust the staff, I can't say this enough! Just trust them... They are extremely knowledgeable. This is not your average modern self-serve shoe store. You might walk in looking for one thing, and go away with something completely different, and better suited for your needs. You could really spend about 2 good hours here if it's your first time.

They also have another shop, that carries skateboards, longboards, clothing, jewelry, bags, hats, etc... Cool place, and the owners are just great! Totally...

Awesome place. Don't let the pictures deceive you, it is not a head shop. Went there for the first time today. All I needed was to put grip tape on my new fresh long board deck. They did a great job with the application, and at a super cheap price. So I of course had to buy a couple more things to help out a local skate shop. Tons of decks. And the long board section is beautiful. I was searching around for parts and a new deck for a custom build, but if I would have known about this place before that, I would have definitely bought all my parts from them.

Now on to the best part about the shop, the owners and people who work there. You are not going to find a better crew of people to buy...

Owner was very kind and patient with me when I was getting a longboard. I could tell he knew a lot and was concerned with the customer. On the other hand, at the Birkenstock store, the lady attending me was very rude. She ridiculed me saying that if I bought the shoes that I wanted that I would be “teased at school.” She continued on to say that the only male that bought the shoes that I wanted was transgender. Implying that I’m apparently transgender to her. The same shoes online say that they are unisex and not only for women. She kept on making rude remarks, so I just left. Would not recommend going to the Birkenstock store, but the skate...
