The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center — Attraction in Cudahy

Generally overpriced, but I still stop for 50 cent vhs tapes. Just went last night and grabbed a CD- went to check out and was being charged $4, though the sign said CDs are 99 cents. When I pointed to the sign the woman at the register (who was already in a bad mood) absolutely lost it had started yelling that there's another sign somewhere in the store that says they're $1.99. And there are two discs in the case so that means it costs twice as much. Then the dvd I was getting was going to cost THREE TIMES AS MUCH because there were 2 discs and one disc had 2 movies on it (this was a collection of 30 minutes kids shorts). In the years I've been going here I've never had a cashier claim this was the pricing policy. Just wild. I've stopped here a lot only because it's a few minutes from Value Village. I’m a stay at home mom who had an hour to her self and decided to look for some jeans for the winter I went to Salvation Army and tried on at least 20 different jeans trying to find a good fitting pair I picked out four pair one which was my favorite. It's a clean store. Prices for clothes are decent...cheaper than goodwill clothes. Shoes for infant went five dollars and up. Furniture and toys are over price. Saw a dirty body pillow in original packaging for ten dollars but you can go to Target and buy a new one for that price. Also saw a buffet but wanted five hundred for it...I rather buy a new one for that price. A baby Einstein toy marked for fifteen and nerf guns ten dollars.
