Great playground for kids, putt putt golf, and train rides on weekends. There are lots of hiking trails across the road in a garden area.Trails run all over the side of the mountain.Dog friendly hiking , just bring bags with in case use bathroom on trail.Otherwise it is a dog friendly area. My fur baby loves running all over the trails here, even running in a creek that has slow running low water in areas. Then there are quite deep running waters and bridges to cross those areas. They also, on the other side of the park, have a concession building, a Miliarty memorial that is just breathtaking. Rides putt putt and food not expensive. Everything else is free. Just be respectful and throw trash in very visible garbage cans throughout beautiful park.

Clean park with many picnic tables, some along the lakeside. Many pavilions for rental that have lights and power. Food for a fan. Splash pad, mini golf, snack bar, and rental pedal boats. Small park train for the kids. Restrooms spread out in the park and clean. Christmas light visit in 2024 was great. Only 10$ per vehicle. About 20 minutes to get into the car pay line. About 30 minutes to drive through. Good value. It’s not Callaway Gardens and I appreciate that. About 1/5 the price and about the same time and amount of lights.

I litterly have been going to that park since i was a kid. Trains, trails, camping which isnt really camping but more like an innercity refuge. Candy, drinks, snacks and hot foods. Small water play area. Mini golf bring ur own putters and balls . hasnt been open anytime ive been there in a while. But your free to play . come prepared.. Nice chill nature walk. Big pond with ducks, paddle boats, and dont think you can fish or swim anymore. Wouldnt swim in it anyways..

Nice little park. They offer fishing, and viewing /feeding of ducks and fish with food you purchase from the park. They ask that you don’t feed the ducks bread. Very nice park for families with children of any age. New playground equipment is being installed as of 1/23. During the Holiday season the Winter Wonderland lights display is a must see along with Cocoa and pictures with Santa after. They offer pavilions for rent for a small fee during warmer months for parties. Bring tablecloth clips and fly swatters if you use these services but please use them at least once if you live in the area and are looking for a party place. Outdoor parks are nice for families and this one is peaceful. The do have a train and put put golf for recreation. The golf course is a bit dated and could use a facelift. The train is more than fun and suitable for children of preschool ages. Good walking park and the area...

Sportsman's lake is a great place to go chill with your family beautiful get to feed the ducks and train rides and there's a mini golf I can say sportsman's lake is pretty fun they got cheap food too so you can never go hungry the only thing I don't like about sportsman's lake I guess we'll be my own problems with family because every time we go there we always got family problems mean fights also it's kind of also boring because that's all there is so I give sportsman's like a three stars they need to put some more stuff up in there put a petting zoo or something because a lake in train ride and Putt-Putt and paddle boats is cool but they need to spice it up put some laser tag in there or something you know what I'm saying make people want to come back to sportsman lake put some fishing out there like come on man we need to do nothing I...

The park itself really is great but there's one complaint I do have. It's been going through some maintenance recently, and the phone just picked up with the pre-recorded message from Christmas when calling to find out if they've opened back up... Christmas recording, in March... Really?

Again, the park is still real great and I've always loved coming here and will continue to, I just wished they'd keep things up to date a bit better and make it clearer how to contact them, especially considering I'm hardly coming into town these days and would like it if it was a bit easier to find out what is and isn't still open before I drive in.

It seems updating away from a Christmas prerecording before March comes around and instead tell you what hours there might be someone to talk to or whatever would be the least they...
