We had a wonderful tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield site from Licensed Battlefield Guide Debra Novotny. We signed up for a 3-hour guided tour and it was WELL worth the fee--we could have listened to her share amazing stories, historical context and fascinating background information all day. Debra knew our group was from Minnesota and Wisconsin and pointed out contributions from soldiers from our state all over the battlefield. She knew her history--and herstory--and happily answered our many questions with warmth and good humor. It was an engaging, personal tour customized to our interests and we enjoyed every minute. Her passion for this beautiful site, and for sharing its beauty with others, is obvious--and contagious!
