If I could give this place zero stars, I would! I took my car here for an oil change , tire rotation, and a 65 point check up that we found off of Groupon a few weeks back. Once it was done, which took a ridiculous amount of time (two hours or so), I was told it was good to go. I was never given any paperwork, nor was anything discussed about what was done or if anything needed to be looked at in the future until I went back in and asked. After further review, my tires were never rotated, and the car wasn't given a proper 65 point check up at all. After looking under the hood, the coolant wasn't even filled and was well below the min line. That as well is included in that 65-point check-up, and the manager who runs the place and is there every day said that everything was filled and taken care of right to my face when I asked him especially the coolant. I'm not even sure if my oil change was done, and they just didn't reset the light on the car. I was told to bring it back up there, and they would look at it, but let's be honest, would you want to bring your vehicle back to a place after all this shady business is constantly going on to where they think they can get over on people who won't check up behind them. There had to be loads of people who had been ripped off and never even knew about what was done to them. Always make sure to mark your vehicles as I do. Especially when places like this have a price that's too good to be true, and they don't even send video proof of the work being done. I literally just had Toyota send me a video of the tire rotation and all the work they did to the other vehicle, which we took there after dealing with this shady place. Of course, it costs more at a dealership, but it's peace of mind as they literally send you a video of everything. Stay far away from this place no matter how good the price may seem. Please read all the reviews they are trying to hide all the negative reviews as this location has been stealing people's hard earned money for years after reading them. The positive reviews seem to be fake as they have had their friends and paid for positive reviews to cover up their shady...
Read moreNot even one star this gas station deserves. This morning, May 1st, at 9 am, I came to Exxon on Smoketown for an inspection. What a surprise! My truck failed due to a bad pinion boot. After pointing out the issue, “the technician-inspector” told me that I must fix the problem before passing inspection. Another man eventually approached me with some diagrams and explained that the part must be replaced with the whole steering rack and the repair cost $1,200.00 In this moment I got suspicious, how the pinion boot is bad and leaking when 3 days before I change my motor oil and filter, myself, and inspect all my car, before to take it to inspection. At the same time, my driveway is spotless until this morning, 8 am, when I leave home. The hole the show me in the pinion boot is big and has a screwdriver shape, leaking like my car is peeing. This is absurd. Something is going on with those guys. I responded that I can’t fix it right now because I don’t have money. They tried to persuade me, saying that it is dangerous to drive in this condition, and they can’t pass the inspection. I only respond that I will come back later. I just wanted my car back; I was getting late for work. Not only that, again, the “inspector” marked and pointed out later that my headlight is bad. I said, “What, impossible? I just changed my headlight 2 weeks ago. Well, it's bad now, they respond. Plus, the two other customers before me failed the inspection too, and they were waiting for the estimate of repairs. Be careful, I’m convinced that they tamper with the car just to make extra money. Big extra money. I can’t stay quiet about this incident, and I feel obligated to warn you and take care...
Read moreDO NOT DO SAFETY INSPECTION HERE!! They are likely to fail your vehicle and then offer to fix the non-existent problem for an absurd amount.
I went here for an annual state safety inspection and Luis failed my car because one of the brake pads "didn't overlap with the rotor enough" and offered to fix it for $450. I was surprised and skeptical as I had the rotors and pads changed last year (on all four wheels for not much more than what he was quoting me for one wheel). When I mentioned this recent work, Luis said it could be due to wear and tear since then. That seemed odd as I passed all safety inspections since buying the vehicle in 2017 and never had an issue with breaks becoming "misaligned."
I decided to call the dealership and asked for their opinion. They told me they had never heard of an issue like this before as "misaligning" break pads and rotors is not possible given how the parts fit together. I asked if it was possible for wear and tear to make this happened. They said if that were the case, there would most likely be rubbing and I'd be feeling or hearing something. I took the car to the dealership for inspection and they passed it with no issue.
I came back to the reviews here to read about the experiences others have had. I wish I had read them before visiting in the first place. It seems this place regularly fails cars and then offers to "fix" the "problem." I wasted half a day sorting this out. I will not return here for an inspection or for gas as they are not the sort of business I want to support. I suggest other avoid the...
