BEWARE!! HEALTH RISK!!
My family and I used to frequent this establishment at least once or twice a month for years. About 4 years ago, the quality of the food began to suffer. Portion size was reduced (example: butter chicken was nearly all sauce and very little chicken, etc.), as well as the service. My husband, I and two others had a bad service experience at Taste of Tandoor about 4 years back and between the diminishing portion sizes, the bad service and the reduced quality of the food, I vowed I'd never eat there again.
It's been 4 years, but I was craving Indian food and decided to give them another try. I ordered numerous menu items (take out) and was looking forward to a wonderful feast. I was not only disappointed in the taste (it was mediocre at best), I became violently ill within an hour of eating their food.
I called the retaurant and they told me the manager was not in, but to bring in the food I didn't eat (about 95% of what I had ordered I had not eaten) the next day when the manager was there, and they would give me a refund. (The waiter didn't seem to surprised when I told him I had gotten sick on the butter chicken.)
My husband and I took the food back into the restaurant. Instead of being concerned for my well being and eager to make things right, the manager gave me a song and dance about why it could have no way been their food and he started arguing with me. I flatly told him I was not there to argue, that I just wanted to return their food and get a refund. At that he did reluctantly refund my money (minus the tip). I then told him that he owed me anotehr $10 (the tip) that I was certainly not tipping them for making me ill. He was not at all happy and became quite nasty.
I have to say, I was astounded. It would seem to me that if you're in the food business, and someone tells you they had become violently ill after eating your food, you would make every attempt to be concerned about the patron and their health and that they would make things right without attitude.
I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again. Please beware and know that there is a health risk in eating at this...

I didn't see the same familiar face that always greeted us before so I asked if the place had been sold and was told no. I soecifically asked for the gentleman we were familiar with and I was told he is the owner and was in the back so that gave me a little peace of mind. Then we got our food amd the difference from before is day and night. It was bland, all 3 of our dishes which we always get so we know what the previous taste was. I asked if the chef had maybe changed and again I was told no. They either misinformed me in response to my questions or the chef has lost his/her touch. I miss the weekend buffet so at this point that is the only way I would return so I can hopefully eat something that tastes good cause the separate individual orders were not up to par. ORIGINAL: I really like this place and come quite a bit. Today I ordered for pickup and witnessed something degrading. One of the cooks poked his head out from the back and handed the person at the bar one of those small soup containers like you would get from a chinese food place. I thought someone had asked for it for carry out but to my surprise, the bar person filled it with coke and sent it back to the cook. I mean come on seriously, they cannot use a plastic cup or a glass to drink? I am curious to get some feedback from owners or management about this incident as it was a turn off for me. Depending on the response and if I come back I will ask the staff about this. Every human deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I am a bit upset right now. I am actually sitting outside in my car. I could not wait...
Read moretried for the first time yesterday I was skeptical based on Woodbridge 'hello!' after all how many good places are there.... the brazilian barbaque place, the new bon chon, mission bbq selectively, the new bannana pudding i to die for, the ribs at TGIF's and with the current buy 2 deal it's a no brainer. the full rack ribs for 16 bucks, seriously, that korean place near by used to be better but still a float, but this place blew me away, thinking of braving it through the weather to try again today. buffet is 10.59 i left like 14 bucks and felt like i got away with something. service great. food geared towards the american crowd with a scary hot looking bowl full and I mean full! of something I can only imagine is so hot it would make your head sweat. ... but all in all the presentation was very nice, great value, clean, pleasant, someplace you can meet a friend for lunch and not have to appologize, quality and selection was very good, and didn't have to feel like you needed to over eat to get your money's worth. what more can i say, find me a better deal in woodbridge for 10.59 good luck sweet nice people as well. good luck finding a better way to spend 10.59 plus tip - oh and i spoke with the very sweet couple running the motel i was staying at and keep in mind i am a veteran of 11 years in hood bridge from way back, and the skinny is that they have a very loyal clientel base and the food, however mild, is very very good a real gem and I feel like i am getting in on sort of the ground floor since they were not very...
