El Paso | Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Dale City

I've been to this place a few times; the last two, my ordered was WRONG. Lets start from the top, I hail from the great state of Texas, El Paso to be exact. The very namesake of this restaurant. The staff is nice enough and appears to be very busy. The chips and salsa served as you get there are good and the sauce is fresh; really hard to mess up. Our first order was grilled chicken; the menu states "it is grilled to perfection". The thinly sliced chicken breast was more like chicken jerky, very dry and the salt was over powering. Second, my order was for three pork azado tacos, but i received the dregs of the azado the kitchen had only one taco azado taco and the other two were "pork carnitas". These are INCORRECTLY identified on the menu as "carnitas" are fried pork and not braised. They were however flavorful, tender and juicy but again, they should scale back on the salt; the condiment should enhance the flavor and not overpower. I let the waiter know that my order was wrong and he looked and said sorry and kept moving; never offered to correct it or perhaps a small comp. Upon our check out, the manager asked if everything was ok, and I again notified him of the error on my order. He responded with a sorry and "hopefully we will get the order right the next time". I eat out a lot and have come to expect a certain level of service, it would have been nice if the place took care of the customer and corrected their deficiency and ensured they kept the customer. Wow, this place used to be great. Now it seems the manager/ some employees are too elevated on their high horses. Employees continued to raise their voice with me and throw blame at me even after both had admitted fault. Facts had been simply laid out on the table, yet the Employees continuously ignored a simple question in regards to my order, under the guise that they felt they understood some nonexistent need I had for a handout. The employees continued to throw fault at customer rather than apologize or take responsibility for extremely poor customer service/demeaning characterization of customer(as a cheapskate). First, occurring on the phone, then in person upon delayed arrival in attempt to space out interaction from the call in attempt to help odds in resolving the issue.... Customer made it clear over five different times(each after being sidestepped) that any amount of quesadillas which were necessary to be ordered, would be purchased, in order to receive a third bag of chips to go. Employees refused to answer any order size or general order quantity fit for the request and then after refusing to answer multiple times and changing the subject, the employees stressed that a third bag would only be given this one time as a favor. Even after countless attempts to acquire the information even if it be only for the future (To ease the chance of having any issues with placing correctly sized orders for customer chip demand in the future). My family and I have been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl. We decided to stop by just to get some churros because they have the best churros in my opinion. I placed a to go order with one of the waitress; everything was fine up to the point where I needed my change. When I received my order I asked the waitress if I was going to get change. It was only like .50¢ I understand it’s only.50¢ but any change my husband and I get we put into my sons piggy bank, he is hoping to use his money for when we go to Disney World. So I take my change very serious. She was very I mean VERY upset that I asked for MY change. She called me poor! And proceeded to laugh with the other servers...She didn’t even ask if she could keep it. The waitress name is Leticia but her name tag says Letty. I love this restaurant I’ve known some of those people for a long time. They saw me and my siblings when we were younger, I have two kids now. My son loves their food my husband loves it there too. It’s just sad that they hired such a horrible person into such a great restaurant. I called the manager and he was nice but I’m not sure if he really did talk to her... hopefully next time I go I don’t see her. She is a very nasty person. I wish I could give this...
