It's the kind of place where I go when I don't need anything. It's fun in a stereotypical guy way to wander the aisles and gawk at the incredible selection of tools, pumps, cases, tarps, hardware and on and on. I learn about things I didn't know existed, and about how specialized equipment has become.
After an hour or so, I will have gotten my fill of welding rods, bumper hammers, socket converters and impact tools. But first I have to check out with the armload of items I realized I couldn't live without. All I have to do is figure out how to use them.
The staff is very helpful to amateurs like me and able to talk in depth with friends who've had careers working as welders and oil field roughnecks.
And prices are affordable, especially if you keep an eye on the price tags where you'll usually find clearance items or sales markdowns not always advertised among the regular merch. Weekly ad fliers are available online and there's a loyalty discount program that will pay for itself in a...
Read moreEmployees are fine, but the store manager is lazy and incompetent. Preordered a tool box but I found out on my own afterward and without the managers help that a different harbor freight on belt line road had the toolbox on hand. Went back to cancel the order so that I could go to the beltline store to buy it there instead. But the store manager told me that he couldn't do the refund even though customer service department and the the belt line road store manager told me at 3 different times that this store needed to do the refund. I'm not sure what the first guys problem was but I dont recommend this location. Thankfully The manager and store at the beltline location is far more competent and refunded the order despite the fact that its was this store managers job to do that. then let my buy the tool box from them that they had on hand. The belt line location is far more deserving of business...

All the while huffing and puffing and having an attitude when we asked about the price of an item that should have been on sale with our member discount, and of course about the item previously mentioned. Thank you, Octavio, for always giving us great service. I'm sure you run a tight ship, but perhaps there's a little room for improvement in...
