Iâve been one of the first and a loyal customer since this place open. The drink at first was super nice which made me want to comeback.
However, as time go by, the taste of the same drink really getting worsen every month or so. I guess Yely is a new place compared to other large brands, which made them have less experience in quality control.
The drink I like was the oreal cheese cake milk tea, it was one of my most favorite drink when Yely first opened, but today after tried it again, instead of the cheese cake taste, all I got was just the plain tea base and some oreo chips. I also noticed there were a little bit of cheese cake filling on the top (but really small amount), and told the staff that could you mix it up for me.
But the staff said âthe way we do it we cannot mix it up and you might have to do it your-selfâ. Which is ridiculous for a reason when they are the one who crafting the drink. I understand itâs just that staffâs part time job but she clearly do not enjoy it. If I can mix it on my own with ice added then why she cant do it even before the ice is added?
Moreover, compared to other larger brand like Goncha or The Alley, ~7$ should get us a larger cup or at least some less ice. I understand there are less ice option but for other first time drink at yely, what they get for 7$ is just a plain tasted milktea base with a lot of ice...

I went back today and got 4 more drinks. All the drinks are standard sweetness/ice.
It seems like they have trouble brewing their lighter roast teas properly since their oolong and jasmine teas are very bitter.
They have a sign that states âNo exchanges. No returnsâ and something along the lines of âNo exception.â
Jasmine Green Tea (4/10) - If it wasnât extremely bitter, it would taste really good
Watermelon slush (8/10) - Tastes fresh but itâs a bit too sweet
Lemonade (7.5/10) - Needs a bit more lemon
Black milk tea (4/10) - This time, they made it a bit too sweet. Strange aftertaste

I got four different drinks, hereâs what I thought about each of them
Black milk tea (6/10) - This one was okay. It was refreshing but I wasnât impressed
Thai green lime tea (0/10) - I took a sip and had an urge to throw it across the room. Really bad. Love the idea of fresh fruit in tea but maybe try lime slices in a lightly sweetened green tea and not whatever this was
Oolong tea (0/10) - Too bitter to drink
Hong Kong milk tea (8/10) - Impressive. Iâd buy it again
I think this place...
Read moreThe drinks are amazing. My favorite is the Brown Sugar boba. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the wait time was minimal. The environment is very clean and inviting. They also offer some really delicious desserts to go with your drinks. I will highly recommend it to friends and family.
7/22 Update: When you think of tea, the first thing that pops to mind is unsweetened tea with maybe a lemon. Or it's going to be overwhelming with sugar. This(3rd picture) is the Fruitful Strawberry tea. I asked for a thirst quenching drink, and Flor recommended this golden item. The taste is fruity but not too sweet. You have chunks of strawberries that you sip powerfully through the straw and enjoy, not bits that are diced too small and have no flavor. The ice is not overdone where you finish your drink as soon as you walk out the door. It is one the perfect drinks to enjoy with this Dallas heat. Lastly, I recommend adding the mango flavored jellies that when you sip, they are delightful when they pop in your mouth and are bursting with flavor. A must try drink if you are new and don't know...
