F & M Electrical Supply Lighting Showroom — Attraction in Danbury

Beautiful place with many different styles of lamps. My reason for giving one star is because customer service is very important to me as a business owner myself! Walking into the place ready to place an order of 5 hanging lamps that my husband saw last week for our bar, we weren’t even acknowledged! There were no other customers in the store and both employees put their heads up as we walked in and didnt say a word to us! Not even a “hello” or “welcome” So my husband politely says hello and yet again no acknowledgement whats so ever. Not once were we asked if we needed help finding anything! With that being said I would rather spend my money somewhere else where I am going to be acknowledged as a customer and where someone is actually willing to do their job and do the basics and greet you while coming into their business or atleast ask if we needed help with...

Staff not friendly, didn’t acknowledge me as I walked past 4 different staff members. I walked in prepared to purchase several items for a new kitchen and no one ever spoke to me. I looked around for almost 10 minutes, even checking some price tags and no one of staff ever said a word, they never even looked up even though only one other customer was in the store (a man being helped quite attentively I might add, I’m not sure why they didn’t help me if it wasn’t because I am a female or what). Tim at F&M came through for us when we unexpectedly needed new parts for our generator - just as a hurricane was predicted (with a toddler at home and a baby due any day.) We were fortunate enough to find their listing, and after telephoning them, Tim held on to the parts we needed (which were in high demand) while my husband drove over a half-hour to reach their store. We did lose power - but our generator held on. We will go out of our way to purchase from them...
