Last Saturday, Jan 14, my friend and I were doing some public ministry work on chilly Main St in Danbury at about 7:30am. By 9am we were frozen solid and decided to recharge at 3 Brothers, (a haven for weary travelers, haha) My friend had a real manly breakfast, eggs, home fries, etc, while I opted for a garden salad and a side of broccoli.
Now Three Brothers is always great, whether in Danbury or New Milford. Tony has done such a great job through the years making the place as welcoming and nice as you could hope for, and with great food and service. - But last Saturday was even better!
Our waitress was Monica, and she was so nice and friendly, and when I asked for a garden salad with only veggies, and vinegar and oil on the side, plus a veggie side order, she was so accommodating, even though it was "breakfast time". - She was also gracious in that she laughed at all of my jokes. (Trust me, this says a lot about her!) She even started joking back with us a little. Great sense of humor. She even reminds me of a friend of mine. (This is a compliment to both Monica, and to my friend!)
I'm sure that Three Brothers knows what an excellent waitress Monica is, she is extremely professional and makes you feel so welcome. (I felt obligated to leave her a very nice tip, she deserved it!)
Thank You Three Brothers, for always being there all these years, as a warm cozy place where you know that you can enjoy a delicious meal with your friends. Thank you Tony for all of your hard work and dedication, you don't get enough credit! And of course, thank you Monica, for being the best...
Read moreI would of gave it 5 star but I was a bit put back by the staff . Location and atmosphere is great and outside is a real dinner feel . Beautiful . I loved it . Our waitress was good but insisted on I not eat the dye for the not so velvet pancakes I wanted to eat . she explained they where plain pancakes with red dye . I appreciate her looking out making sure I don't consume toxic dye . But it sends a clear picture that it's false advertising for their red velvet pancakes to not be red velvet but regular pancake badder . I ended up eating a plain pancake with whipped cream . I didn't want to complain . It was Contradictory to what her menu explained . I also didn't know how to take walking into the establishment . I wasn't greeted the same way as the people in front of me were . It was weird . He told them they could sit wherever they wanted . He Took a look at my wife and I and said we had to follow a waitress to be seated . Maybe they where regulars ?? But it just didn't seem like it . I don't know . I would of liked the same sentiment . Overall food came out fast and food was delicious . Not used that kind of experience I guess . O yeah I found a hair in one of the syrup containers . I stopped eating...
Read moreEver since the remodeling the restaurant hasn't been the same. I understand staffing issues and supply issues which is happening across the state and country but there is no excuse for servers not seeing that you served food and the customer has no utensils to eat it with. The server didn't even come back with the drink I ordered or to see if we wanted anything else. I don't fault the server it's management, they didn't let the server know what is out of stock so that customers don't waste their time ordering something that they can't have. I ordered a red white and blue French toast only to be told that there was no strawberries and would I like to have extra bananas and blueberries. I asked for extra bananas. The plate landed on the table and it was not regular toast but challah bread and blueberries that were sour and the banana was fresh. The southern fried chicken was just a regular fried chicken. There was nothing southern about it and it was cold. There was not even a drop of seasoning on it. To say the experience was bad is an understatement. The only thing going was my daughter really felt bad for the server and said at least she is...
