The special education here seemed promising after I was accepted. That was a huge lie and a huge mistake on my end! Don't make the same mistake I made! Even their website is a scam. I don't like the special education program here for a lot of reasons.
The way they schedule your classes and your jobs is way too much for me and some other people. This is very unacceptable for people (including myself) who care about their mental and physical health. They seem to hate me here and dump everything on me that I can't handle.
They thought I could handle my classes, my jobs, and meet with my mentors, but I can't take it anymore! This is super ridiculous! They make everything mandatory (except for weekend activities) for no apparent reason. What the heck? Why is everything they throw at you have to be mandatory? This is not even necessary to make every single event to be mandatory.
Also they use CSC Service Works for laundry for no good reason. This company sucks for laundry because their machines keep on getting maintenance. Their app also sucks because of the amount glitches on there. Why pay more money for this fraudulent company when you are already paying a lot for the tuition?
The directors of the program seem way too blind that certain scholars are not even fit for this special education program. They claim that it's a lie when it is indeed a fact! Some of the scholars drag you into stupid drama that they made for no reason. They seem don't listen to you and they don't care about you (and they never will).
They don't really do anything about the drama after I told them about it or give me any updates at all! It is so terrible! Also this campus is extremely dirty and filthy because people (including myself) have seen rats and/or cockroaches crawling all around campus. The students here are very lazy at throwing their trash away, hence the dirty campus and the amount of rats and cockroaches here. The only people that actually care for you is the mentors, the teachers, and your friends that you made here. NO ONE ELSE IN THIS PROGRAM CARES FOR YOU!
In summary this program here is very toxic because of the dumb drama and they respect your wishes at all. So far or at the rate it is going, this special needs program is really bad. It needs a ton of improvements to make it better and may be even functional for the future students! I just hate this program because it is so dysfunctional...
Β Β Β Read moreI had a fine needle biopsy at UCDavis. All around, it was a horrible experience. The bedside manner of the clinicians left a lot to be desired (speaking about me as if I wasn't there and explaining to the students about what the parts were in the ultrasound before they poked me and not to "go too far or miss" as that could cause trouble if they hit my esophagus. Not comforting when someone is about to stick a needle in your neck. I understand it's a learning hospital but discussing what could go wrong in front of me seemed inappropriate). It was extremely painful...and when results came back they were inconclusive because they'd hit a blood vessel so I had to have another, second biopsy. The first was around $3000 and then they expected me to pay for a second. In addition, I had major swelling and bruising. I had a lemon sized curve of bruising and swelling sticking out of my neck for almost 2 weeks.
For my second biopsy I went to Modesto Radiology. It was fast and painless. There was no bruising or swelling. I honestly thought they were still inserting the numbing needles when he told me it was over. What a difference from my experience at UcDavis! If I remember correctly it cost around $300 vs $3000 FOR THE SAME THING!! When I complained to UCDavis about the cost difference and being expected to pay for something they goofed up they said the price difference was because UcDavis is considered an "emergency clinic." I didnt go into the er and it had been scheduled. Between the beside manner, goofing up the biopsy, charging $3000 vs $300 I would not recommend them.
This is my second review because NOW 19 MONTHS AFTER my procedure I just got another bill from UCDavis that I owe another amount, that they had never billed me before. Very...
