This is an attractive, trendy-looking restaurant that gets extra points for having tables suited for a wheelchair patron. Taller dining table allowed wheelchair to slide under, without center posts that crash the feet. Wish I could say better about the flow to order food and drinks. One must self-order from a screen, which stalls everyone when it's a family of four who need to read the menu, then order. The ordering kiosks are too near the entry door. On this Friday afternoon, families and groups numbered 4 or 5 and crowded the screen areas. Also, you can only order soft drinks from the kiosk; if you want beer or wine, you must go to another counter. We waited for the families ahead of us to order, then I had to wait behind several more folks at the alcohol counter. A glass of beer and glass of red wine totaled $19.00. The wine was a very SCANT pour. FOOD: the Moroccan chicken bowl was yummy, with creamy mashed potatoes. The braised beef and mushrooms bowl was a big disappointment - the taste and aroma was exactly that of canned Dinty Moore beef stew. However, the basmati rice was fluffy and well seasoned. The chicken tenders were crispy as promised, with the brussels sprouts being perfectly cooked. It would have been nicer had our meals been served simultaneously rather than at 5 - 10...
Read moreThe place was packed and seemed popular, so we order online—three side orders and one main plate. We ordered at about 4:55, and asked to pick it up at 6:40. We got there at 6:45, and though we understand it was busy we were not approached for about seven minutes in the pick up line. For the next 20 or so minutes, I was repeatedly asked and questioned if I was there to pick up an order. I said yes, and that our order was supposed to be ready by 6:40. We then were approached by yet another server telling us that they were out of one of the sides. After we chose our alternate side, we then waited there for another 10 minutes. I left then came back about 5 minutes later to finally pick up our food. When we got home, we realized not only did they just leave out the alternative side we had to pick, but it also missing a complete other side dish. As well as our food being somewhat lukewarm, they were missing quite a few things we paid for. Food was not interesting or that tasty. We should have and could have cooked a better...
Read moreI am a newcomer to Northern California. Originally from Chicago, which is a foodie city among other things. What I will say about this place is that it will be busy so the wait is just a tad bit longer than usual, but not to where it’s unbearable. Great atmosphere, outdoor sitting area, which is a plus IMO, and amazing and kind staff. I had the pleasure of having Areeba as my waitress mostly (they don’t really assign from what I got dining with them), and she was really sweet and even gave me a free cookie at the end of my meal. BUT…THE…FOOD!!! I had just a regularly grilled steak with yellow rice and steamed broccoli. Steak was really good and tender with the right amount of seasoning (you know it’s good when you don’t need sauce) broccoli was seasoned enough to not take away from the star of the show (Steak), and the rice was a tad bit spicy but I didn’t mind. Overall A++ and I will be coming back. If you’re thinking about going, THIS...
