Went here with my Husband and adult Son. Bathrooms were clean. Park had lots of picnic areas and walking trails. The park has a very nice, large playground for kids. There are many informative markers telling you about various animals and plants found in the area. They had several sculptures that made awesome photo opps, such as a giant dragonfly made of found items, a Rabbit, several frogs, a beaver and a nice round area that had metal fish of different sizes in the concrete rotunda. Each fish had the name of a type of fish found in Alabama. There are many unusual , beautiful plants here and the park actually continues down the road , as a beautiful rose garden. The park is next to.the Kiwanis park which has many fields for those who wish to play sports. There is plenty of free parking too! It would be even nicer though, if they had some vending machines for cold drinks and snacks. If you happen to be in Decatur, I think you'd ...

Located only blocks away from the historic heart of Decatur, this is one of the best parks in Decatur (2nd only to Rhode's Ferry park). This park is often overlooked by park goers, which is good for those looking to avoid the "hype" of the often over crowded Adventure Park. In addition to the park itself; Delano also has a few areas for birthday parties/events,a walking trail, and :'( an often overlooked flower garden. The flower garden (seemingly separated from the park by the roadway) is a great place for weddings (my parents were married there, but before it became the magnificent spectral it is today) and...

Great public park. Small but quality equipment. One corner of the splash pad doesn't work anymore but I kind like it, give the parents somewhere to sit without having to be in the benches. The water is abundant and goes high and goes off at different times and places. It's decently shaded in the morning and evenings. Plus the actual play park has nice shaded areas to play and to sit. Once you're done playing you can take a walk in the walking trail, roll down one of the nice hills, play tennis, basketball, have a picnic in the nice fields or take a stroll through the flowers in the...

Fantastic and well maintained park, the best in Decatur. Amenities include accessible playground, lots of open grassy areas with big trees, splash pad, tennis court, bathrooms, walking paths, garden, and picnic pavilions. The flowers in the garden are blooming currently so it is extra pretty. The park is dog friendly (on leash) and there are a few poop bag stations with trash cans. You can get about 1.5 miles on the walking path if you do all the parts of it. There’s also a nice gazebo near the playground and some art statues. The park has a lot of shade and is usually pretty quiet.
