Me and my family visited the store yesterday and had intentions on spending our $375 budget for winter clothes and also wanted to make a donation. Unfortunately, we end up only purchasing a few items my son desperately needed right then. As soon as we walked in, the first lady looked at me with a scowl after I said hello, she even rolled her eyes and never greeted us or said hello back when we are money paying customers. After a few minutes, we grabbed our items and went to the register to pay and ask a question; where another lady had a nasty attitude and shockingly handed me my change like I had cooties! I really thought this was a Faith based organization, but those two ladies gave everything but a Christ like attitude. Very disappointing, and I hate to pull the race card but "if the shoe fits...." we were treated harshly compared to the nice lady that was a different color from us that was in line ahead of us. It was a very unpleasant experience when we remained kind and friendly dispite how we were treated in return. & to those two workers, never JUDGE a book by it's cover !!!!...
Read moreI thank God for giving me opportunity to work with some of greatest people in the world the givers.I've been a volunteer for the DRM for over a year and it's been the most rewarding experience I've ever had and believe me I've had some experiences these people are my Heros and they truly have a love for people. I've kinda been holding my tongue about people think our prices are just too high and I got to thinking about that homeless family that is next in line for a hot meal and you know when our Lord said feed the poor give them something to wear and a place to stay he wasn't worried about the price. And when He gave him self for our sins He wasn't worried about the price. So just a reminder of what these stores are doing for the forgotten men women and children that have no hope. So when you're looking for a place to give that has God's seal of approval believe me this is one God Bless You...
Read moreIt's a decent little thrift store. The stuff is a little more used. But goes for a good cause. The people are very nice. You will recieve a punch card that is pretty easy to fill up and earn even more discounts. At times they have 50% off sales and cook food. You can either order a plate for yourself or donate it to someone less fortunate. I would rate it higher because of the people and cause but it is definitely a dig for treasure. Womens sizes over 5 are easier to find. There is a nice selection of men's and kids but I tend to buy more play clothes here. You can find treasures in home goods and jewelry if you are willing to frequent and look. They do have fitting rooms which many thrift stores do not have no a days. Shoes, ties, toys, jewlery, art, lamps, crafts, furniture and more... even boots that come up...
