Two negative things in the same night happened.
First I attempted to order online. After going through the entire online order process, selecting menu options, entering my name, email and phone number, entering credit card details etc., finally I click the Place Order button. It tells me that the online ordering option is not available for the Decatur location. Well, that was a minor irritation and easily overcome by just going there - I had to go there to pick anyway so what’s the harm, I thought.
Secondly, I drove to the physical location. I was greeted by young woman who asked “what’s the name on the order?” I told her I still needed to place an order (because she thought I was there to pick up an order). She said, “oh, you need to place an order?” I said “yes ma’am.” Then, another young woman comes out and stations herself behind a register away from where I was standing and reading a menu. She said to me, “I can help you over here.” I told her I needed to read the menu to figure out what I wanted. She got snippy with me and said “there’s a menu over here.” Biting my tongue, I stepped over to her register which had a menu. I was trying to verify a menu option with her and she very rudely and impatiently said yes and asked me to order. I struggled through the order with her. At one point she insisted on telling me I’d only get one blue cheese with my carrots and celery. I don’t know why she thought she needed to say that so I explained to her that I wanted celery, not carrots and celery and she again rudely told me I’d only get one blue cheese. I attempted to explain that I was merely choosing blue cheese from among other dressing choices and she rudely interrupted me and asked me if that was all. Her attitude was hostile. I was lucky to finish a sentence with this little brat.
After two bad attempts at ordering, I decided it would be a bad idea to go through with the order.
I told the young lady that it has been very difficult trying to order and when things start off this bad, who knows how they will end up. I walked out empty handed.
I have three stars because I have called in orders from this location from work before with no problems. But, it will be a while before I...
Read moreI like to go Wild Wings every now and again for lunch with my coworkers. Food is usually pretty good. Service for the last year or so has been pretty good, with some experiences better than others and a few sub par. However, I do not like how I am charged extra when I ask for the wings to be extra crispy. I have to ask for them this way because Wild Wings in Decatur is notorious for serving mushy wings. I don't need them extra, just normal. It could be a me thing, but everyone I have ever dined with agrees, Wild Wings Decatur undercooks their wings. So, they want to charge extra to cook them properly? Lately, the charge is added without even informing me. I have asked various waitresses about it. There never seems to be a definitive answer on when I will be charged extra. One server told me a while back the fee was dropped. So, it seems like management just can't figure out what to do. Other Wild Wings don't do this. If management thinks this is a clever little way nickel and dime someone, it is not. Stuff like this is a good way to run off customers. I will probably avoid Wild Wings more so in the future for this very thing alone. Also, you have to remember to ask for carrots or celery with your wings, as the servers will not ask if you want them at all. I guess that is another way of cutting corners. It is the little things like this that can really...
Read moreIt's becoming impossible to enjoy going here. The food good, beer is definitely cold. However, twice in a month we have been told there were no booths available. The first time I literally stood there and counted the empty booths in front of her. She said "yes ma'am but we're in the middle of rotation so there's none available." Whatever. Then the last trip we walked out. There were people standing and waiting to be seated everywhere. She said there would be a 40-45 minute wait. I looked up and counted 8 empty booths, didn't even count empty tables. I asked why such a long wait when there was so many empty booths? Her reply ... "we had 5 parties of 10 come in so we're not seating anyone to let the kitchen catch up." ... I mean what?? Can you not seat people and let them wait at their table as easily as you can make them wait standing around uncomfortably? You simply inform them it's taking longer than usual to get the food out due to the large parties and the kitchen being backed up. It takes FOREVER to get your food there as it is! We walked out and went somewhere else. When we left our chosen restaurant after finishing our meal, my son texted his friend whose family had stayed at Buffalo Wild Wings, they had been seated, but they had not even gotten their food yet. It had been an hour and 45 minutes at that point....
