I ordered bridesmaids dresses here and have ordered here before and have never had a problem. I've bought prom dresses, pageant dresses my sister and friends have bough dresses here also. When i went in to get bridesmaids dresses i had two girls sized there and one girl who lived in California sized in a bridal shop. one bridesmaids dress did not fit her rib cage was way to tight they told us they would let it out but nothing else and they refused to use my seamstress. my biggest problem was the size 22 dress that was ordered for my maid of honor. this size 22 dress was supposed to fit a size 3 girl. they refused to alter it at all, i personally would have never ordered my maid of honor a size 22 dress, plus she was altered at a bridal shop so its not like she did it herself. I asked to speak to the owner many times and she didn't get a hold of me until a week later. once she got a hold of me she did nothing but yell/raise her voice at me about how they were not going to take the blame and they didn't think it was their fault,in the same breath she stated she takes care of her brides. i had to ask her to stop yelling at me because i couldn't even get a word in, after getting tired of her yelling at me i gave the phone to my mother. the owner didn't even realize i gave the phone to my mother and she told my mom that she was acting as me and was mad, (she was so busy yelling she didn't realize i gave the phone to my mom and it wasn't me speaking to her anymore) my mom told her she will make sure people are aware what the store did and the owner stated " go ahead and do that but it will be a lie and that's defamation of character!" ha! after being so upset and not getting anywhere she hung up on me. i went onto their Facebook and posted a comment on a thread just a tidbit about it and it has been deleted now, so if that gives you any idea on what i had to deal with then there ya go! mind you this is 2 1/2 weeks until my wedding. honestly, i just wanted them to fix the mistake i went into the store initially with a happy attitude hoping they would fix it considering ive had no problems before. now, i'm so disappointed more than anything and shocked i guess. that will forever be the last time i go to that store after being treated like that. i hope people take into consideration my review, and apparently there are reviews like mine, i considered even writing one becuasae i didn't want to deal with them anymore but i felt like everyone deserved to know how i was treated. Read moreI’m at an age where a lot of people i know are getting married. I would never recommend this place. I work in customer service and the service I got there was appalling. If I were to ever treat my customers the way I was treated, I would have been let go.
For starters- I live out of town and was in a bridal party. I set up and appointment and flew in to town specifically for that appointment. I get there and am greeted by a guy at the front door who told me they had no appointments that day and I needed to wait. I am a bit irritated because I was told that time on that day and would not just have flown in on that kind of mistake. I eventually am taken back by an older women and she is trying to help me while another lady is screaming at everyone to stop. She tells this lady that is helping me that I am just going to need to wait. I felt super uncomfortable. Which brings us to Nancy.
Nancy is their ‘seamstress’ I’m not sure if she is so busy she can’t make time for her clinets or if she is just terrible at her job. My dress was really tight in the bust and low cut. I made several remarks on it and she seemed to not have a care in the world about it but could only say well at least it is a nice color. Ok, Nancy but I’m not trying to look like I just got out of the strip club. When I tried it on at home and showed other memebers of the bridal party and friends the agreed that it looked like she had not touched the dress at all but charged me 75$ for all the alterations she did( she only takes cash or check, probably because she knows that her work is shady). We tried to have her fix it but she made every excuse in the book- from telling me I didn’t know how to put on the dress and my favorite commenting on my weight- saying I had gained some since the initial fitting, which is not true as I had been very sick and had to be on a very restrictive diet.
In the end WE ended up fixing my dress(the straps needed to be shortened) and Nancy kept the 75$.
This is jus one of the many experiences that went wrong at this shop, I don’t want or need to write a novel, but just know that you will be put in a lot to uncomfortable and shady experiences if you use this shop. Read moreAfter reading some of the reviews on here, I was a little nervous, but I figured that the worst reviews were from a couple of years ago and that the place had gotten its act together. Not true. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I am in a friend's wedding and she requested that we buy Alfred Angelo dresses in a specific color and fabric, but that we could pick our style. After doing some research online and finding some styles I liked, I called to make my appointment. They were nice enough on the phone, but when I asked if they wanted to jot down my style numbers (you know, so they could be prepared for my appointment), the gal told me to just bring them with me. Fine. So when I got there for my 4:00 appointment today, they only had a weird side door unlocked. I had to crawl through a bunch of teenagers looking for prom dresses to even find a counter. I waited at the counter for a few minutes, and after no one helped me, I continued further into the boutique. I came to another counter where I found someone who appeared to work there. She was surprised to hear I had an appointment and told me she'd be right with me and walked away. While I was waiting for her to come back, another employee, maybe the manager or the owner, asked if I was being helped. I told her I had an appointment and she flagged the first girl down, who snapped back that she was "working on it." By the time I even had someone helping me, it was 4:15. I then gave them my style numbers and she went off to look for them, even though they SHOULD have taken my style numbers over the phone and had the samples ready when I got there. She returned with two of the six dresses I wanted to try on, telling me they didn't have the rest. I wouldn't have even come if I had known they only had 2 of the dresses I wanted to try on!
